Forced Registration just to view the item (No Thanks) i get enough mail as it is
email confirmation is not required.. So just enter whatever you want to browse.. hehe..
price starts from 20.. ;-)
I hate these sites - they make is so difficult to browse. Same as brandsexclusive.
The only good looking one I would buy is already sold out.
Beware that these shopping sites take forever to ship the product. Factor in at least 3-4 weeks from the time you order it to when you receive it.
I can concur I ordered and it took over 2 months to get it delivered and then when they did it was the wrong item and when i got in contact with them they didn't have my item…..
i hate this company
their watches are always overpriced even when they try to sell high end brands like Tag and Omega
if the dudes at Gregorys etc can beat an online store you have issues
It is a simple registration after all, so it is worth a look..
I noticed alot of the watches have this "Japanese movement" technology behind it. May i ask the OzBargain community what this is? and are these watches battery powered or other? also the brand quality?
Cheers
Hi Wakkawalla,
I used to have a Q and Q and they are made by Citezen watch company so they have a reliable Japanese movment
which essentially means its a accurate watch with solid engineering
- they are battery powered
Brand is solid its a subsidary of Q and QThx Terrier!
The movement they're talking about is likely made by Miyota, a Japanese firm. They make movements for many companies that sell watches (note: not watch companies). So they make movements for Guess, Rivers, probably also Gucci and companies like that. The movement they're talking about is likely the OS20. You can see what they look like here:
http://touchtiming.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&prod…
You can also see that they cost next to nothing - that gives you an indication of how big the markup is from the raw materials (including the movement) and the retail price for these common shop watches.
Makers like Tag, Omega, Vacheron manufacture their own movements. The difference in complexity is massive and they are real works of art. Here's the Omega coaxial movement:

and the Tag Heuer Calibre movement:

i used a simple password (alphabets only) and @hotmail email if that helps.Cheers
Tried that but nothing, still not working for me.

Are these watches worth its value for around $20 and $30. There is alot of designs i like.. But i have never heard of these brands before. Seems like similar design that Keycutters sells for in the shopping centers in the middle of the aisle..
