  • An orange 100m desk-diving chrono — what a strange one.

How about 1000m helium-valved with sapphire for around the same price?

      1000m helium-valved with sapphire

I have no idea what any of that means. so why not?

    • it is also significantly different in looks

  • +1

Why is it missing the 60 and the 10?

    • yeah I had a closer look I just noticed that. not sure why watch people probably know.

I'm guessing if you are used to analogue watches you know where the 5, 10, 15 mins past an hour are just by looking. so they don't need numbers?

      • Even knowing where they are, having them missing from the face would really bother me. Enough not to buy this.

        • the only reason to buy it is because it's a ozb orange watch.

    • Since you pointed it out, can't unsee it now. Deal breaker.

    • Not many watches have the 60 marked on a rotating bezel. It's typically an arrow mark, symbol, logo, lume pip etc to quickly identify which way is up.

Seiko have a few watches with the 60 but, if memory serves me correctly, they are fixed bezels.

The other difference is just a design choice at a guess.

    • The missing 60 is fine as it's symmetrical. The missing 10 seems bizarre…

      • What's bizarre is the "Marine Star" monicker with just 100 metre rating.
Like, c'mon guys, we know you have 200 metre models in the Marine Star range.

You, too can be a Bathtub Star.

    • Yeah, that missing 10 is mildly infuriating given the 50 is there.

    • It's actually more common than you may think. A lot of dive watches are similar - here are three Seikos which are genuine dive watches and similarly missing both the 60 and 10 on the rotating bezel. As MS Paint said below the 60 is often replaced by a pip or marker to denote the top of the bezel, my guess is the 10 is omitted to ensure the minute markers are clearer and unobstructed. I suspect that 15 minutes is probably the most common amount of time divers need to keep track of so it makes sense to ensure that's easy to read.

Having said that, other divers do have the 10 so perhaps there's a stylistic element to it as well.

      • I knew someone would explain it! thanks watch person! 😅🙏

  • Made in china?

  • I like that it's orange.

  • Artificial RRP. Every day is a flash sale at Star Buy.

    • As long as you like a watch and Star Buy has the best price it does not matter if its artificial.
