    Agree, quartz keeps better time. I'm trying not to buy anymore autos.

    Mineral is totally fine for $200-300 ish btw.

    Also agree that the rrp is ridiculous - half price is about right, don't think I'll cop anything.

    It is, based on their overly optimistic RRP. Keep an eye on the David Jones sales, Timex crop up regularly in the extra % off sales so good bargains to be had at nearly half price.

  The other Pan Am watch works out about the same price (Fly Back Chronograph).

  Getting up there a bit for a timex but not bad after 20% off (retail is $289.00 =~A$459, not $599 with Aussie tax).
