That's ironic if it is named Jet Star and keeps good time.

  • Since when do you get a $25 bonus at Starbuy? Please correct me, if I am wrong. I believe this is an offer from a competitor brand.

It’s been a thing for about 4 months now, if memory serves me correctly. Likely answering the similar bonus from both WDs. Clear cookies or use a private tab, then visit the SB front page and scroll about halfway down.

      • Ok, I will try that for my next purchases. I am not sure about this watch. Cheers.

        • I got the silver one on black strap for $299, for that price they are great (go on sale pretty regularly).

You would have to love gold and brown for an extra $100.

I bought a watch from them 30 mins ago, signed up to their newsletter and got a code for $25 off.

        • How is life as Theo's Pilot? Does he pay you well?

  • Nice watch

  • Typically for quartz, battery change is straight forward, how is it for this type of quartz?

I’ve got the 96B401 but never had occasion to pop the back off. I don’t expect it should be any more difficult than most, I guess I’ll find out in about three years.

There are plenty of how-to videos on YT for Bulova watches but none specific to the Jet Star that I could find.

    • Even easier, since it uses a CR20xx cell

Not sure where you are but if you’re in Melb there’s this one on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B7dbNqipE/?mibextid=79PoIi . $499 but says negotiable and looks super mint condition. I got mine 399 used in similar condition.

          • @socks2807: Nah I’m not

399 used for near mint is good price

          • +1

@socks2807: Yes they were $499 on starbuy a while I think, so for used $399 is a good price (you can usually ignore the silly RRP for Citizen & Seiko)

@Jimothy Wongingtons it would look good on you!

  • What does the non senior citizen model look like?

    • If this colourway isn’t your jam then you can see the full Jet Star range here. If you like the movement but not the styling there’s also the Super Seville for something a bit different.
