The Chicken and Wicked Wings pack is the best value imo :)

    • Yeah, that's my pick too!

      • Cheap as chips meal now has a challenger… too bad the Chicken and Wicked Wings pack doesn't have two large potato and gravy.

        • +2

I work at kfc in vic and at my store at lease we are allowed to give a lg pot and grav instead of a lg chips, im pretty sure is procedure because all the stores in our franchise do it but don't quote me on it.

Same goes for combos like the ultimate burger meal. People don't know that you can upsize the drink or chips instead of the pot and grav or even swap it for a coleslaw.

Um… doesn't it say the rumour is false?

      • +3

I used to work at KFC - they use real chicken buddy.
Not completely fresh (They get it delivered everyday but obviously it doesn't get used up as an exact amount everyday) but not the mutated organisms as your strange article says.

      • +2

So you couldn't even read two lines of text into that link and you're using a decidedly pro-KFC article to bash the chain?

        Oh school holidays… end already.

      • We get ours from inghams and it very clearly says chicken on it, and i can guarantee there are bones because the fucking rib pieces are razor sharp sometimes.

        • I didn't neg your comment, but dude, easy with the language.
How's working in the sauna? :)
The store that I used to work at got it from some company called "Bidvest"

  • You always beat me to posting KFC coupons. My scanner is not large enough to scan the whole page.

  • +1

some good offers here, thanks for posting! :)

  • +1

Do they accept printed out coupon?

    • +1

      I'd also like to know

      • They accept even just mentioning the coupon deal name in some branches. KFC Asquith

  • The Cheap as Chips "deal" is always that price. Doesn't stop me from buying it though. ;)

  • +1

Wts wrong with you WA :(

    • must be too stingy to offer these to us WA customers.

    • I got these exact vouchers in the mail last week and I'm in Perth.

    • <Double Post>

STill think its too expensive even with the coupons.

    • Yeah, they operate on massive margins, but think of the finger-licking taste… so good!

      • You poor, poor guys… KFC hasn't been "finger-lickin' good" for decades. The impoverished "McDonalds generation" have genetically mutated their tastebuds forever. ;-p…

Seriously though - there's a bunch of guys on the internet that think they've found the OLD - REAL - Original Recipe. I've made it a few times and it is absolutely DELICIOUS! Anyone interested, search for the words: "Original Recipe KFC Vanilla Bean" and you'll probably stumble on it. Be warned you really need a pressure cooker though. Well worth buying one just to make this one thing in my opinion. :-D

  • kfc are really annoying with there meal deals
    for familys
for large families it seems ok, u can get 30 dollar deals with drinks, chicken, chips, salad and potato and gravy and extras
    a complete meal
but for like a family of 4
    there is not

there is a 20 buck 10 chicken and 2 large chips….. where is the colesaw and drinks and potato and gravy o.O

    Cheap As Chips Meal

    8 pcs. Original Recipe Chicken, 6 Kentucky Nuggets, 2 lge. Potato & Gravy, 2 lge. Chips & 2 Dipping Sauces - $19.95

thats great but couldn't they change a potato and gravy for colesaw, or a drink
    o.O

    • +1

KFC let you change out sides for other sides of the same value, even on a coupon. I always get a customised cheap as chips deal with 1 potato and gravy swapped out for a coleslaw and have recently tried swapping out 1 large chips for a 1.25L softdrink also with success.

      • Ah, you beat me to it.

    • Doesn't most KFC allow swaps? I've always asked for coleslaw instead potato & gravy with my ultimate burger meals.

      • They're supposed to

      • It varies a lot when I have used these vouchers in the past. For the Wicked Wings deal I always try to swap the potato and gravy for coleslaw. Coleslaw is "worth" a whole lot more but most of the time they will swap. However if the KFC don't have large coleslaw then it varies whether they give you 3 or 4 smalls to replace a large potato and gravy. Have found a couple that charge 30 cents to do the swap which I happily pay.

        • i work there, we have to swap pot and grav for coleslaw there is even a button for us to do so. The potato and gravy is made on site so we usually make around 60-80 smalls and around 12-20 large so if we run out of large we will give 4 smalls, same volume as a large. As for swapping large chips for 1.25 drinks there is no button for so they might say no.

Good prices, but I wish people didn't eat so much of this disgusting, unhealthy food. There are way too many American fast food franchises in Australia.

  • +3

Something to try which will make your KFC slightly healthier, put your KFC on a foil-covered baking sheet and into an oven at 180C for 10 mins (15 mins if the oven isn't preheated).

The heat renders the chicken fat from under the skin but leaves the spices and skin itself intact. It even crisps up original recipe a bit more. As the fat renders off the chicken, it also bastes the meat on the way down so the chicken is still moist.

I've done this many times and it doesn't affect the taste as long as you don't forget about it and leave it in there for 30 minutes.

At the very least you'll feel a bit less guilty pigging out on it!

    • How does the heat render the chicken fat? O_O

      • Just try it with one piece dude, you'll see what I mean. There will be a puddle of clear oil oozing around the chicken, on the tray. If you let it cool and solidify you'll see it's chicken fat.

        • +1

          Ah, I've still got ex-kfc-employee trauma :)
It'll take a while before I start eating KFC again (not only that, it's quite expensive for just food)

    • +1

Then you can do this http://www.pennilessparenting.com/2010/10/rendering-chicken-… ;-)

If only they had deals on their only relatively healthy chicken choice http://www.kfc.com.au/menu/index.asp#Chipotle_Grilled_Sub

    • But then its not fast food? Just buy some chicken fillets and bake them.

  • where's the KFC chicken in WA?? still catching and no specials

  • -1

will I die after I eat this

    • +9

Depends on how many printed vouchers you eat.

  • last time i was in KFC ,they told me they didn't accept the photocopy vouchers .

  • Just went to KFC Randwick with a b&w printout. No problem at all. Dude even gave me back the coupon. Thanks OP!

  • Works at Elizabeth St Melbourne CBD.

  • used at Harbourside Syd. color print. even swapped things around.

  • nice post OP

got these vouchers through the mail yesterday as well

might have some KFC tonight hehe

  • I'm always tempted by the look of KFC food, but a lot of it makes me feel sick…

I find the popcorn chicken and the twisters to be the least disgusting (also least greasy) though lol.

  • Awesome compiling all the extra info Jackbob. Thanks
