  • Got Uber Eats $5

  • Uber Eats… oh well better luck next time

  • +2

It was easier last time, didn't sell out as fast.

    • probably because lots of people got kicked out of the app like me.

      • Yeah me too kicked out and then all sold

  • Got Kmart šŸ˜

  • Canā€™t even see where to get it. Bleurgh

  • So a random store each drop for each person's order, was expecting the same 1 - 2 stores per each drop time.

I waited to see what store('s) was for this hour, big mistake.

It's good that people are swapping, very handy.

    Thanks OP

  • one per person per drop? if so, not gonna even try

    • +1

"Limited to 1 mystery gift card per customer for this promotion."

So one customer can get only 1 completely … The upcoming drops might be an easy one …

      • +2

Correct, it should be easier as the drops go by.

        • Why SMS is required? Even paid by cashback still requiring an SMS verification

  • did not see the page under ShopBack Super Store at 2pm, any instructions?

  • Just want to confirm, I was lucky enough to get an eBay $5 gift card at 2pm, am I able to try again at 3pm or is it just one per person for this promotion?

    • One per person for the whole promotion :)

      • +3

Thanks so much for clarifying, I wasn't sure if it was one per person for the whole promotion or one per person per hour.
It was great fun to try for it and an added bonus to actually get something. I appreciate Shopback for providing this promotion to its members, it's just a shame there seems to be so many ungrateful people complaining about something that is completely free and only uses seconds of their time!

      • Fix the app. It always crashes

  • pff gone again!! wthh!

  • Good guys

  • +1

Bloody hell again time to revoke my upvote

  • Gone in 1 minute

  • yai! got one…

    …. JB HIFI

  • Target - thanks SB!

  • Free $5 to spend at Kmart. Yay!

    • I have a JB HI-FI one. I don't mind swapping for Kmart or Amazon one.

  • Tried and failed twice. Gone in like 3-4 seconds.

    • +1

You need to keep refreshing the payment screen.

  • Got $5 eBay. Thanks.

  • $5 Ebay, perfect!

  • Third time lucky I guess, no luck at the moment

  • Damn, I got a message pop up about refer a friend or something like that after clicking thru, distracted me while looking for the buy button.

  • +1

Can anyone help with what I'm doing wrong?

I refreshed the Superstore Gift Card Offer page around 3pm til $5 mystery gift card link was active, I clicked on it, at the bottom of the page it said "Coming soon", I kept refreshing the page, it kept saying coming soon, I went pack to SB homepage and clicked thru in case I did something wrong coz same thing happened at 2pm, then at bottom of page it said Sold out. Deja vu. I get it if I'm not quick enough but what's with the coming soon bit?

    • +1

      same with me

    • Managed to get a jbhifi at 4pm.. the Pay now was at the bottom of the page when I clicked in.

  • Got a $5 Priceline. Just thought I'd note if you click it at the exact time as soon as it switches. It kicks you out the app. So just be prepared for it and know how to get back in fast enough to catch the "coming soon" status then refresh it a couple times until it allows you to purchase and then you should be good.

  • +2

A tip for some, keep the screen open. My GF failed first, kept the screen open and 10min after (1 minute ago) was able to checkout …

  • Got a $5 JB!

  • Can someone explain how this works?

    • +1

Try to buy a mystery giftcard, get lucky, get 1 of the available gift cards, wait a few weeks and get $5 cashback = Free gift card.

      • Ok, thank you very much. So will you definitely get the cashback?

        • +1

          Yes

Via the app - superstore - mystery gift card, don't forget to do "+" to add 1 to your cart, then pay (don't try to add 2, this will likely fail).
If you haven't used the app to buy things, make sure you add your credit card before trying to get lucky buying one.

I also saw that SB has a "Get ready in Advance" - you can add your debit/credit card there.

          • @johnmelb: Where in the app can I find the giftcards?

        • Well nothing is guaranteed, but you can't have the problems that people sometimes complain about when a third party seller is involved & tracking doesn't work correctly. I would think it very likely, dare I say certain, that you would receive the cashback.

          • @adam: I've personally not had any issues with GC tracking.
Also with IKEA GC: they were instantly available/redeemable and cashback approved (and ready for withdrawal) after 1 week (although I got a warning it could take up to 48hours for IKEA GC to work).

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about this not being granted. (I had instant tracking btw.)

"Something went wrong" - what a joke

    • Yeah crashes every time. If the app cant handle traffic then it should just be a random draw.

  • WTF, crashed and sold out

  • Damn qty screwed me, why have it set at 0 qty and not 1?

    • +1

      omg same!! arghh

  • scored $5 eBay!

I missed out an hour ago but got the Kmart voucher just now. Here's how I did it, in case it helps any of you:
    1. with about 30 seconds to go before the hour, use the app to click on the "100% cashback" ad and then see if the "$5 mystery card offer" is enabled on the next page. If not, go back and do it again.
    2. when the "$5 mystery card offer" is enabled, click on it. Ensure qty is 1. If qty is 0 then you have to go back and change to 1, by which time you've missed out.
    3. ensure the option to purchase using shopback funds, which is down the bottom of the screen, is enabled. Should make it quicker.
    4. after making the purchase you'll receive an SMS verification. Tap the small auto-fill pop-up on your phone to automatically fill in the SMS verification code, to make it quicker.

Good luck, hope these tips help.

  • got ebay!!

  • Scored a Target GC, thanks OP!

  • Bought a $5 eBay gift card after ā€œsold out for this dropā€. Is it still valid for 100% cashback? Thank you.

    • How did you buy an eBay one specifically? Itā€™s a mystery gift card

      • Thank you. I finally figured out how to play the game. It was sold out in a second just now.

    • Unfortunately not, the only $5 gift cards eligible are the mystery cards.

  • +1

I got one finally but it's TGG which is basically useless for me… I was hoping for eBay or Amazon :(

  • When does the $5 cashback appear in our account?

    • tracks instantly

  • +3

I must say this type of competition is quite poor in terms of experience, as it not only depends on 'luck', but it also depends on the server connection - which means ShopBack you can create a lot of mess for users.

It'll be better if you change it into an hourly draw - the users needs enter each hourly draw separately (so similar to the hourly drop, you'll still attract traffic to the app), and then you can draw the 300 users per 'drop', and give them 5 minutes to accept the offer and complete the transaction. If not, they miss out and it goes to the next person or the next draw.

This way, you'll have more spread out traffic and it'll still depend on luck, and people will still be checking to enrol into the draws.
