ASUS 15.6" F15 TUF Dash Laptop (Core i7, 16GB, 512GB, RTX 3070) - $1997 @ Officeworks

1040

Saw this was out of stock last week, but looks like it is back in stock now. Possible pricing error as it currently costs the same as the RTX 3060 version.

Seems like a great deal, same price as the 3050ti version at JBHIFI via a quick look.

Delivery available in Sydney (Pyrmont) but your milage may vary.

      • Lenovo legion 5 pro is like >$3k. This is 2k. You paid about 30% more for 30% more performance.

Legion 5 pro is like $2500, all you have to do is ask the customer service in chat

No, I paid about 20% more for 50% more performance, double the cpu performance, double the ram, double the ssd space, a larger screen with higher resolution, brightness and accuracy, and much more screen area (16:10 with same diagonal is a lot more area than 16:9).

How is it legal for them to sell this. Isnt this incredibly misleading.

    • that was my MSI GS65 on 2070 Max-Q…

    • Can you give a reference to this 7500?

  • Ordered 10 for a stack of miners, mh/s on overdrive!!!!!

  • Seems tempting but when something marketed as the same name as a desktop part that gets 70% higher fps in games (check hardware unboxed), it's a wad.

  • Price is now $2497, so this 4 core gimped 3070 "gaming" laptop is now even worse value.

ASUS has been very hit and miss lately.

Bought this laptop yesterday processor on the website says i7-11375H laptop actually only has the i7-11370H not a huge difference but something to note

    • You wouldn't think it would make much difference but this link shows there is a fair difference in performance between the two and the i7-11375H was apparently already a bottleneck to begin with.

Starting to have doubts about my purchase. I may end up returning it if it underwhelms.

      • I like the laptop so far with my time with it the weight is pretty good at 2 kg only 700grams more than a MacBook Air and the battery life is apparently really good for a gaming laptop

  • Reading reviews and what people have to say about this laptop has me concerned. If there can be multiple Nvidia 3070's and they are all the same but some are artificially constrained by power limits, is there anything I can do to remove the limitation through software or some sort of BIOS hack or setting?

My laptop arrived today. The CPU is definitely an i7-11370H which was not what was advertised.

  • Picked up one of these on special for $1597.00 at Officeworks in Perth, was marked down as a store clearance special.

it's pretty decent laptop. my initial time spy score is 7294 on turbo mode.

I've found that the CPU voltages are locked in throttlestop which is annoying and it haven't installed afterburner yet to to see what over clocking options area available..

tbc I'm not overly fussed since the price was very good in my opinion.. I kinda just bought it spontaneously..

jbhifi have the 3060 version going for $1799…and the 3070 version is $2400 think that one has the ups screen..

still this beats my older Acer nitro v15 with a 1060.. so it's a nice upgrade.
