To celebrate Australia Day, dine at the IKEA Restaurant from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 January and we’ll take the cost of your food and drinks off your store purchase. Terms and conditions apply. Cannot be used with ‘rent cheques’.
Yep, last time they had this, ate about $17 worth of food (with family) and took $17 worth of stuff home at no extra cost.

And remember to put all the food purchases on one docket. No going back for seconds. They will only process one docket per person at the checkout.
Though if there are several of you, you could buy stuff separately and use a docket each.

Sure, just say "I'm paying for all these people", waving your hand at your family, at the cashier. And tell me when you will be there, so that I can stand behind the lot of you. :)

They've cracked down on this practice. The T&C near the checkout state only reasonable quantities allowed, food must be eaten immediately and no 'commercial quantity' purchases.
I've got no doubt more than one OzBargainer turned up and tried to clean out all their non perishables.

I went on the second to last day of that promo last time, there will be people, but I doubt you'll be lining up for 2 hours. Unless you already have something in mind you want to buy, might take some time to decide what to pick up for free!
I was there at lunch time Saturday. Line up of around 10 minutes. Lots of tables available.
