    You'd have to peel it apart and take a look at the surge components but my guess is they're basically identical.

    If you take a fried board (let alone connected equipment) back to MSY they'll probably just look at you funny, whereas with DSE you at least have a shot at getting something replaced. Not as much user feedback about that as there is for Belkin though.

    I'd be curious whether they've increased the socket tension in these boards. The one I have from maybe five years ago, which is identical in apperance, had from the beginning the weakest grip of any power board I've ever used. Which while nice for ease of plugging/unplugging stuff, isn't so great for keeping heavy AC adaptors in place or preventing plugs acccidentally being shifted.
