Really good price, shame i dont need one.

    • Ikr? My graphics card wouldn't run 165 fps in any games I play (Valorant) at 1080p, let alone 1440p… Still veryyyy much tempted though lmao

    What's wrong with it?

    • +1

That’s what I am searching. Seems like a really good price …

    • Likely a sluggish Innolux panel. Most of the loss leader options in this sale are monitors that just don't live up to their refresh rates.

Good on Scorptec for clearing their stock though, as this should create great purchasing opportunities for them.

    • No height adjustment :(

  • Really good price for specs

I pulled the trigger…will put in updates when it come

    • So did I…
Did I need it? Absolutely not.
But can never say no to a good deal!

    • Reporting back:

Tested with UFO test, its effectively 144hz. To my pleb eyes they are the most accurate color out of the box i have seen (i've only had 4k VA panels up to this point)
Tried a couple rounds in Doom Eternal and can easily tell why people want a 144hz + monitor.
I didnt put it on the stand that came with as I have a monitor arm that I can use (reviews says that its not the best monitor stand).
Overall, I think it is worth every cent, especially at this price

  • Does anyone know if this can run 120hz at 1440p or 120hz at 1080p? I am looking for a cheap QHD monitor for Xbox Series X and this is perfect price

Why do you care about 120hz? This monitor says it does 165hz, which is better if your GPU can give you the frames.

I will be using this monitor for my Xbox Series X. The console only supports 60hz and 120hz

        • +1

I think what the initial replier meant was that the monitor goes up to 165Hz, meaning it’s capable of 120Hz at QHD, and theoretically then capable of the same refresh rate at a lower res (FHD)

@whackama: They managed to look like a jerk while doing so.

          • @whackama: Ah yes that makes sense, theoretically.
Some monitors only support 144hz at 1440p and then the next lowest is 60hz at 1440p.
Because Xbox Series X only supports either 120hz or 60hz, the best you can do on a 144hz monitor that doesn't have 120hz support, is 60hz… Hence why I'm asking if this monitor specifically supports 120hz

            • @ilovvebargains: Most "gaming" monitors that talk to a GPU through AMD's FREESYNC or NVidea's G-SYNC can run at variable refresh rates - from 48hz all the way to 165hz, and every step between. That's how they drop from 144hz consistently down to like 100hz when the computer's frame rate lags behind in intensive scenes.

I'm not sure about the technology in XSX or PS5 but when they output 120hz, this screen will be able to accept and display that - and when the game lags in intense scenes it will still continue showing whatever the console puts out, either without VRR (leading to screen tearing) or with VRR (leading to slightly less than 120hz)

  • How does this compare with the Dell 27 S2721D Monitor - AMD FreeSync QHD 2560 x 1440 at 75Hz ?

    • Good question, I love my 2721d's and this is almost the same price

      • Well I got the 2721d for like 240 on the other deal but looks like it’ll be a while to ship…

Wondering whether to cancel and order this one instead

    • is the 2721D IPS?

      • Yes

        • I had no idea. LOL.
          I bought mine last year

  • Do these have internal speaker?

    • Yes

  • Scorptec have stopped accepting new orders as of just now

  • I just ordered via the original link 1080p still available

  • I see in stock but 449 on website?
