Price match at best.
No they will only match. JB Hifi and The Good Guys are the same company.
Rang Officeworks. They price beat this by 5%. Picking up this afternoon.
I picked one up this morning too!
Thanks OP. Finally bit the bullet with OW P/B
If you are tempted———Don't Buy a MacBook Pro Now-
New MacBook Pro models are expected to arrive later this year with some of the biggest improvements to the product line to date, including some surprising changes, so now is not the best time to buy a new MacBook Pro.Courtesy macrumors.com

Agreed. Plus the air seems to exceed performance against most windows machines for most day-to-day tasks.
P.S. - Folks in the creative domain (design/photoraphy etc.) might find otherwisePlus the air seems to exceed performance against most windows machines for most day-to-day tasks.
Indeed, and an impressive announcement yesterday about running Windows and Linux on Apple M1's -

(although Parallels is not super cheap at US$100).
i've heard from other m1 users that it is faster for them with alot of the design software. Only issue is that not all the software is compatible as yet
Will there also be an update to the air design?
The MacBook Air is part of Apple's latest generation of Macs with Apple silicon, featuring significantly improved performance and battery life in a slim, fanless design. Announced in November of 2020, the MacBook Air is among the newest Macs in Apple's lineup and it is still believed to be fairly early in its product cycle.

Officeworks have already lowered their price to match. On another point i'm running the new m1 air and its been great. I run Parallel with Windows ARM64 (free beta). If its an apple item i can run it in Apple, if its a Windows app the system automatically opens windows for me. Windows actually runs faster than my Surfacebook 2 i7 16gb. So far haven't run into any issues running apps. My only regret is i should have got the 512 version when running dual operating systems
Need another 20% deal similar to Afterpay day
Was there?
Would Apple Store price match? Presumably, you would get better service from them if there was a problem?
Will JB price beat? I have vouchers…
