I used to like trying 3 months freebies in and out but imho amazon music is the worst by far in term of music collection and algorithms. Good deal, though

    • Me too. Currently on a trial of Deezer after 3 free months with Spotify.

It is very hard to identify differences. The bitrate quality is a major issue, and it should be advertised clearly when you subscribe.

It seems only Spotify has a Roku app, so I can use that on a TV or something else.

I have a car lately so it's nice to have something that I can scroll horizontally, Deezer is great for that.

Spotify was ok for a few things. The recommendation lists were good - and they suggested genuinely new music that I would like. Deezer is also pretty good at recommendations.

I think YouTube Music is great because you gain the benefit of removing ads from YouTube. I can't remember if it's the same price as the other core music streamers.

Amazon Prime music had lyrics (so does Deezer), but Amazon also has a terrible search that seems to give results for bands and songs unrelated to your taste/genre. Maybe it matches because it has one similar word in it.

      • Most Samsung TVs have a native Spotify app, too

Remember to cancel straight after so you don't forget later. Subscription continues for 3 months.

  • Perfect - allows me to trial it and save three months of Spotify subscription! Thanks OP.

  • damn just started trial the day before

  • Probably worth flagging that this actually expires tonight (24 May) rather than 23 May.
