Hi Nalar, firstly it hasn't gone up in price, it's a different product. Even so, it is on sale at $8.99, the other set of tweezers was on sale at $6.49. Both these prices are not the original price, this sells all day every day at $11.99. This set, simply hasn't been discounted as much.
Secondly, besides you having little in the way of a life, a pair of tweezers at $3, compared to these tweezers at $11.99 (original price) is like comparing the brand Great Wall to Toyota. There is no comparison. You ask any woman who uses tweezers, most struggle to EVER find a good pair and when they do they hold onto them for dear life.
Know your facts before making ridiculous statements as you end up looking dumb.
To verify your theory, buy a pair of tweezers from eBay for $3 and purchase these. Give them your wife, mistress, girlfriend, boyfriend, don't tell them the price and ask them to use them. You'll find out straight away that you get what you pay for.

As Jetstream mentioned customer service, sorry for stating you have no life, that was wrong of me. I imagine you really contemplated purchasing these tweezers then did the research where you found the similar product at a cheaper price. Perhaps that is why you posted your comment, either way, sorry.
if you did buy them and was not happy with them you can easily get a refund. The beauty of Amazon is refunds are not questioned and done instantly.

Your discount math is off. 40% off of $12 makes it $7.20, so more like a 29% discount. And why even throw in anything about a 'recommended price' discount when it's never been listed for that high a price?
Hi there maskedmustelid, the original price is $14.99, we have had them selling at 20% off, then upped it to 40% off just for OzBargains. Also, if you look at CamelCamelCamel, it was sold at $14.99, we change the price to reflect market conditions. No one has to buy it, it's just a good deal I wanted to share with everyone 🤷♀️
Technically $14.99 original price, but that 20% off is perceived as the new norm when it's been that much off for the vast majority of the last six months. If you're not listing the original price on the listing here or on Amazon, throwing discount percentages out without that reference to compare it to is only going to cause confusion.
Anyone know if these are as good as tweezerman? My wife got some that looked like tweezerman from priceline but they are rubbish.
