Still great snow at these times of year, including luggage you can get a return flight on selected days for about $300 bucks, and it seems like weekend travel is also friendly :)
Edit: They close the deal @ at midnight 18th Jan.
Cheers.

Cheers for the heads up, indeed the dates I am looking at booking are 7 bucks cheaper!
To book or not to book is the question now :)
Maybe some dates might end up cheaper with Virgin, no harm in comparing I guess. Cheers.
Prices seem pretty much identical to Air New Zealand, from the few searches I did. Which makes sense, because the two airlines are partners on the trans-Tasman route, and even sell each others flights through their respective websites.
Anymore info regarding travel dates? Trying to book a snow trip to Queenstown in late July and its coming up as $300 one way
The sale flights are indicated by a red banner with 'sale' in it - you can't miss them. Not all dates and routes are on sale, but there are quite a lot of great fares. Try Air NZ, they have a similar sale on at the moment. Or look at dates/routes here;

try jetstar…around $200ish each way no checked luggage…
Not as good as the Air New Zealand sale that was posted this morning. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/61402
