The Falcon offer details are found on page 30-31 of this latest HN Cooking catalogue. Examples of discounts include:
- Classic Deluxe 90cm $8303 (save $1186)
- Nexus Dual Fuel 110 cm oven with Steam capability $12,737 (save $2247)
I understand base cost of total spend must exceed $7000 (so Kitchener base model is excluded unless rangehood purchased as well)
Discounts applied based on total Falcon product spend as follows:
- 10% on spend of $7000 - $8999
- 12.5% on spend of $9000 - $10999
- 15% on spend of over $11000
The current offer on the Professional series via AGA is better than this HN offer (see https://agaaustralia.com.au/falcon-ovens)
Background:
These expensive dual oven/cooktops and rangehoods are popular due to their distinctive design and well reviewed cooking capabilities. Probably best known for their Classic and Classic Deluxe range, which have an ‘Old English’ look, they also have more modern designs available. They are often installed as centrepieces in kitchens and are favoured in Hamptons style kitchens. In England they are sold under the Rangemaster badge. We pay a large premium for these appliances in Australia that far exceeds the cost of importation and local support. But if the interior designer in your life is insistent on one of these Ovens, this is a pretty good, wide ranging deal. Prices haven’t been properly updated on HN website but I believe these discounts apply to all product spend over 7G.
Every month the parent company AGA and the local supplier Andico seem to offer up a promotion or two. For March, the Professional series is discounted, but all other lines are full price. I have watched the prices on these ovens for a long time and don’t remember many offers covering nearly all product lines. Individual product line offers are sometimes similar to these 10-15% savings. Typically Falcon offers are tightly controlled and are the same no matter where you purchase them. Will be interesting to see if these discounts appear as the April offer from the parent company, however at the moment only HN are advertising these prices.
Will be interesting to see how new FTA between UK and Australia impact on prices of such product lines into future.
