XFX Radeon RX 6700 XT Speedster QICK 319 CORE 12GB GDDR6 $899 + Delivery @ PLE

840

Not a bad price considering the current climate. Currently in stock at the WA warehouse. The cards design seems very similar to the more expensive MERC card.

    Good find

  • +3

XFX is a good brand. Feels bad for those who paid $100 more just 4 days ago.

  • +3

Man, this isn't awful pricing. If only Blender could utilize AMD cards the same way it does NVIDIA. It's the only thing stopping me from switching.

    • +2

      Same
Nvidia is too dominant in this space
      Everyone supports CUDA

      • +2

To be fair they made it super easy to use CUDA. I even had it in my FYP at uni.

  • This or 3060 ti $799? Thanks

    • +17

Where can you get a 3060 Ti for that price?

    • +6

3060 ti , if you an find at 799

      • Thanks!

        • +4

But you are not going to find 3060 TI for 799

      • +1

I saw from the reviews this was close to a 3070 and better compared to a 3060ti, your link says something else.

        • +9

I wouldn’t place too much confidence in that benchmark tool. It does such narrow testing, that its results are not indicative of real world gaming performance.

        • +5

Userbench is notorious for changing their test procedures and weightings to achieve the results they want. They're banned or at least very much disdained within several hardware forums and subreddits for this reason.

      • +2

I checked all the benchmarks, the 6700 XT is better than a 3060ti, your link is definitely wrong on this.

      • +5

Userbenchmark.com is not a trustworthy source for benchmarks. They're banned from numerous subreddits.
It's an ok site to get an idea of performance if you know what you're looking at or to check a system is performing where it should be, but that's about it.

    • +5

If you can find a 3060 ti for 799 I'll eat my hat

      • !RemindMe 2025

    • the fulfillment rate for the $700-$799 3060ti's on PLE are all like 50%.

  • -8

Is this something that scalpers usually scalp? Cause if it is, I'd like to scalp as much as I can scalp before the scalpers scalp this.

    • No, you should scalp as many GTX 1080's you can find.

      • +1

        Ocrap I've been scalping GT710's

    • 100% yes

    • +9

Yeah but what 3070 at that price is in stock?

      • LOL

      • +2

Ah right, haven't been keeping up but they do certainly seem to be sold out just about everywhere. Good point!

        • +2

That and you used userbenchmark. The most childish and bias tech comparison sites in existence.

    • +6

      Userbenchmark comparisons…lol

    • +2

From all the benchmarks that people have made the 3070 is around 4% faster, so your link is wrong and at $100 more the 3070 would be a bad buy based on that. Not to mention it is not even in stock.

    • +3

Garbage website - don't ever use it.

  • +2

    Got one thanks OP.

Dont forget 1.12% CB from cashrewards.

  • I got a feeling that soon you will be able to find those 2 fans card for $799 everywhere.

    • Picture shows 3 fans?

      • This is 3 fans. I meant those 2 fans version which are cheaper should be available soon.
It seems no stock issue for this model.

  • +3

Is it 'Add to Cart' for anyone, or just 'Add Preorder to cart'? How accurate are their stock indicators?

  • +4

I’m still holding out for a crypto crash in order to scoop up some GPU’s

    • -7

      Cool story brutha

    • +2

Maybe in late 2022 or 2023

    • +1

Crypto-induced GPU scarcity has only ever lasted more than a couple of months in the past.

      Let's hope that happens again…

      • +1

This time crypto is only a percent of the issue, fabrications reduced capacity for an assumed recession, followed by an actual increase in that sector from people needing hardware while at home.

So production was decreased, demand increased, now factories are 1.5yrs behind and crypto has added further pressure. If there is a crash there will be more used cards on market which will help, but it won't make a big enough dent to supply/demand to bring us back to MSRP until factories are back to normal.

  • +1

GPU is the only part left in my pc build. Looking back in Jan 2021 of this deal "https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/597842" and still regret not buying it on that day LOL cuz expecting it to be at lower price

  • my preorder for the EVGA 3070 FTW shows ETA as 4/14/21 fingers crossed. Thinking of changing to this though, but raytracing benchmark shows this card to be somewhat less capable.

    • For now..

    • -1

      ray tracing is ass

  • Damn. Just paid $869 last week for a Gigabyte 3060. Should have held off.

    • +9

Ouch. 3060 is such a bad card for the price :(

      • +1

        second this

      • The 3060 is the only 30-series card that disappointed me. The 2070-3070 was a 40% improvement while the 2060-3060 was barely 20%.

It feels like they relabeled the 3050/ti so they could charge more.

      • Sold my 5600xt for $600 and chucked $269 on top. Should have held off

        • Is the 3060 even an upgrade over the 5600xt besides the vram?

    • -1

You have utterly failed in your life.
3060 is a completely useless piece of shit.
Might as well throw it in the bin so I can collect it.

  • -1

Will GPU manufacturers intentionally delay getting production back to 100% since selling GPUs for inflated prices is more profitable for selling more at a cheaper price?

    • The low end gpus doesn't sell out anymore, the original MSRP was just too cheap so they slowly rise, not because of a supply issue

    • -1

Yes it’s called a duopoly. The risk is if you hold the price up others will start making them or the other member of the duopoly will “cheat”.

  • +4

Stupid cryptomining pyramid scheme is ruining gaming for everyone…

    • +2

Many crypto miner are gamers, free way to afford the latest tech, why not

      • +3

I'm a gamer. Between my launch day 3080 that finally arrived and my kids machines which both have 1070ti's and a bunch of 1060s I picked up on buyswap sell cheap that I filled all our pcs with we have roughly 280mh. That's $31 a day at current prices. $1000 every 32 days at current prices… I have solar and a battery so that covers my power bill. Mad not to mine if you can tbh

        • What is the power consumption on your rigs? I assume you mine ETH?

          • +1

@Michael1983: I use Nicehash to mine ETH and paid in BTC. I get 32mh at 80W on my 1660 Super when not gaming. That's more than 50% what the 3070 brings with 60% the power usage, not amazing profit but surprisingly good.

Need 6GB+ now for worthwhile ETH mining.

            • +1

@Jimbuscus: I think 5700XT's are the gold standard. 55mh at 100w. My 1060s are only ~20mh at the same draw. I always wondered why 5700s never dropped in price even before these new 3xxx/6xxx cards launched

          • +2

@Michael1983: Yes ETH, Phoenix miner on ethermine.org. ~950w at full whack combined just for the GPU's, we never turn the pc's off due to large solar and battery system on the house anyway. 3080 + 2 x 1070ti + 6 x 1060s. Each card is set up different for minimum power draw and maximum mh. The 3080 is heavily downclocked when i'm not gaming running at 1.2ghz core and +750 on the memory and using ~220w compared to if its left at stock (EVGA 450w bios) at ~420w. I added the 1060s to my systems after realizing how much money I could make doing absolutely nothing. Picked up all 5 on buy swap sell to add to the one i already had for sub $100 each and they make ~$11usd a day extra combined. I haven't been doing this long but I have 2.8 ETH ($6000 aud!?!) in my wallet just from mining. Imagine if ETH goes to bitcoin levels. That's easily a house/deposit for doing crap all. Mad not to mine

            • @Count Shagula: Yes that is good way to earn at the moment. Which wallet do you use use to keep ETH?

              • @Michael1983: MEW Wallet

                • @Count Shagula: Thank you. Do you reckon it is a good option as a 'cold storage' for say 5-10 years? Will it disappear another day… Can you trust it?
My friend suggested to use nanopool and Coinbase as a wallet.. a bit hard to make a choice to be honest…. But better to start mining now for a 10 year goal.

    • +1

Miners should have the same rights to GPUs as gamers. If there’s an issue, speak to your local MP.

  • +2

i am just happy that i got the 2070super during last year's black friday sale for like $600ish. Didn't have to wait and would probably last me until a decent 3080ti deal came through however that long it might be.

    • Will last you to 6070!

  • +2

Mining machine number 8 coming up!

  • Does anyone know how this compares to a 3060 ti, for gaming application?

I've seen benchmarks, but would like anyone's opinion here.

    • +1

3060ti has much better raytracing, but they are more or less on par. Get the 3060ti is you care about raytracing

    • Are you people asking about 3060ti's actually seeing them for sale anywhere?
They look to be as rare as 3080's

      • Rn 3060 ti is the same price as 3070 anyway but yes you can still buy them

      • No. They're just parroting things they hear from friends, or in YouTube reviews. Then they go out and buy $1200 3060ti's or $900 3060's because the reviewer told them it was good value (in American MSRP).

They ignore the $1000 3070, $900 6700XT, or $1100 6800 because the revieweres told them "not good price-performance!"

      • I have a 3060 ti, but was wondering if I should sell it off and get this if it's better.

    • Just watch the people that are doing that for a living on youtube… why would random people on a bargain website know better?

  • Pulled the trigger. Thanks OP!

  • -2

The 6700xt didn't review so well given the price being so much higher than 5700xt with a fairly mininal uplift in performance.

    • WHAT, 50% better performance to 5700?

      • +1

Obviously statistics may vary, but highly reputable benchmark reviewers Hardware Unboxed found it was 30% improvement with 20% price increase. Not great my friend. Not terrible, but not great. Also at this price of $899 the price increase is actually closer to 30% (they compared RRP).

So basically not a value improvement over 5700xt, just more performance.

  • +1

This is a great card. I have the MERC version and i can barely hear the fan noise at all while gaming. I read one of the reviewer said it's one of the quietest GPU he had ever tested. The MERC version has a slightly higher memory clock, LED lightning but you get to save ~$50 with the QICK version. So yes if you appreciate low noise gaming, definitely should consider this as one of your buy.

  • Whats the ETH hashrate for mining on this one?

    • +1

I think it is not as good as Nvidia 3060/3070. I've heard Russians make their own video drivers for ATI to maximise mh/s, but can you get those…

  • +1

Some suckers told me I should wait for the 3070 last year because it's "going to be the same price as a 2070". Happy with my $489 2070 thank you very much

    • Happy with my 1070 also…. for now

    • I got suckered in to selling my ASUS Rog Strix 1080 Ti in pristine condition for $650. Now I'm running a 1650 Super cause it's all I can get LEL

      • +1

I sold a three week old 5700xt for $140 more than I paid for it, thinking I was smart and wasnt using all it's performance. now still stuck on rx580 until something gets under $800 and is in stock and not also a rx580… :S

        • I managed to get a 5700XT gaming x for $150 last year and I just sold it for $1100 a couple of weeks ago.

      • -1

Should have held out, selling for 750 now

        • +3

Bro you don't need to rub it in. I could have lasted until next gen after 3000 series with my god tier 1080 Ti and not even blinked. I got caught in Jensen Huang's web of lies and now I live in GPU purgatory until 2022 probably.

    • yap same here. i was building around the time as well and was told dont get current gen cards at the wake for next gen. You know what, happy camper here with a rtx2060 🥳

      • i remember buying a 2060 for $450, i posted the deal here and got absolutely butchered. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/598074
i should have kept it.. im stuck with an rx 570 on 1440p.
its fine to browse and play moba games.. cant play anything else

        • 570 should run most everthing @ 1080p.

        • Yeah I remember reading that thread. Everyone was so optimistic that 3000 series would come, that they would be priced at RRP and that anyone who wanted one would get one. It was a reasonable expectation from past situations - but I guess it didn't turn out so well.
