  • Does Amazon match the price?

  • Is it worth waiting for the sales priced $426.00 2 Pro with 2K resolution?

    • Same would like to know as well

      Or buy this now?

    • Have updated OP to include eufyCam 2 Pro, thanks.

  • Personally, i had gone for the pro with 2k resolution because its not much price difference

don't get sucked in with "sale" price as i've been keeping an eye on the price for more than a month. They always have some sort of "promotion" or "coupon code" that brings the price down to around the same price.

For eg. last week they have the cam 2 pro at -26% (now back to -21%) which makes it around the same price as the sale price that's coming anyway.

  • Can you add cam 2 Pro to Homebase 1

  • Not sure if it's the same thing, but this one is similar but cheaper here, A$375 delivered. Save more with ebay gift cards.

    • +1

That's the older model with the Gen 1 Homebase.

  • Mine is coming to US$320.98 after GST is applied in the check out (includes a US$5 coupon applied). What am doing wrong?

  • Op, monday sale price for the cam 2 is $396.32 as far as i can see?

    PRICE:
    AU $396.32

    Sale starts
    Mar 29, 12:00 AM PT

    • +1

As I mentioned in the OP not sure if it's a pricing error but it's cheaper to buy the Cam 2 now, the price would be more expensive on Monday. The Pro will be cheaper on Monday when the sale starts.

Also prices in title include GST as it gets added at checkout, you need to add GST to the prices you listed.

May be relevant to some buying a security camera system with access to the internet. Eufy is 100% Chinese owned. One can argue all Chinese companies are state owned.

    • +1

I was looking at the 2k indoor camera, which by all accounts can do RTSP, so no need for their cloud rubbish - just firewall it off, and use local software.

"One can argue all Chinese companies are state owned"
One can also argue that is a stupid comment

One can also add that you would be diullsional if you think the CCP will put resources to watch Joe blows living is life. Anyone of any interest to the CCP would not be in the market for eufy mate.

The paranoia/racism of some people is beyond believe.. your best be worrying about joe the internet creep finding access to your internet access security cam..that's a more likely scenario than your James bond crap

      • +1

No, not all Chinese companies are state owned.

However they all have the potential to be if they annoy them enough.

In terms of resources for monitoring, well, that's why there is AI so they can implement their social credit system.

That's how they do surveillance of over a billion people and why they have over half of the world's CCTV.

      • “Delusional”.

The CCP targets more Chinese nationals/ expats with surveillance than Australian nationals. I don’t think my warning remarks are racist.

It is of actual concern, if say you have family in Hong Kong, or Xin Jiang, or even Inner Mongolia, and you decide to post what is considered antiCCP comments on the internet.

The people locked up in Xin Jiang and Hong Kong are pretty much the “Joe Blows” of their world, until they said something “wrong”.

The CCP is interested in mass surveillance and it is already a thing in mainland China.

I just think Australian consumers should pay more attention. There is no need for paranoia but I think consumers in the market for security should add this layer to their decision making. Lenovo, Huawei and other Chinese tech companies have been known to engineer back doors. Even the biggest companies in China are not out of reach of the CCP.

        • This joe blow has no relatives where the CCP is clamping down on so I'm good to sit in my undies eating my home and won't expect the CCP watching me do so.

          • @mikedenoob: Happy for you to enjoy the freedoms hard fought by your predecessors and maintained by your contemporaries. Just that not all are born into such privilege and in less than two generations the people of Hong Kong have lost everything because of their complacency.

  • The Anker store on AliExpress removed/sold out of the single add-on cameras (both the 2 and 2 Pro) a couple of weeks ago.

Given the two packs in the original post each contain only two cameras each, does anyone have suggestions on where to get add-on cameras?

Most Australian stores seem to sell them for ~$200-$250, so I wish I’d picked some up from the AliExpress store earlier.

Or do we reckon there’s going to be a Eufy Cam 3 arriving soon?

    Any thoughts are welcomed!

    • How much were the 2 pro singles cams in sale?

      • +1

From memory, I think they were around $180 AUD, but haven’t been in stock for a few weeks.

Since the end of the anniversary sale, the 2 Peo kit has also been out of stock.

I reckon the launch of the new Eufy Cam models is not far away. The app was recently updated with support for the new models.

  • Does anyone know what the warranty process will be like? Would be a shame buying a approx $400 item and having to ship it back to China for warranty purposes.

  • I bought the 2 pro kit together with an indoor camera in one order. The 2 pro kit arrived but indoor camera was not in the package. Contacted aliexpress and was told tracking shows it’s delivered so I can’t get a refund 🤷🏻‍♂️ A quick google search shows that it seems very common for orders to be shipped incomplete and unfortunately most people just forgo their money but how is this a legit business ripping people off??

    • Did you contact the seller? Maybe they shipped the indoor camera separately?

    • +2

If contacting the seller via AliExpress gets you nowhere, contact Anker directly as they run the AliExpress store.

      • Aliexpress finally replied. They in fact shipped it separately but didn’t inform me or put up the second tracking number so when I put up a dispute the first time, they just said no it’s been delivered full stop. Only after a few days did they give me the second tracking number but at least they apologised for it.

  • Anker Aliexpress no longer ships to Australia?
Says seller does not ship to my address?
