    Classic deal

  • How do these compare to the Quantum Max tablets?

      • Finish Powerball Classic is not in the list, so not very useful for this deal

        • +2

I'm pretty sure the "Finish Powerball All In 1 Everyday Clean Lemon Sparkle" on the list is the same as Powerball Classic. It's middle of the pack, but still, that's 73% vs the best of 78% (for whatever the percentages mean).

Personally I've found Finish Classic to work very well. At least, well enough that it's not worth spending more than what you get these on special for.

          • @CarbonTwelve: agreed on classic, all i have used. probably also comes down to quality of dishwasher. we have a bosch 14pax i think

      • The one they ranked least effective (Fairy Original) is one of the better ones in my opinion. I find Fairy products to be way better than Finish. The worst ones I have used have been the Finish Classic and Aldi Logix.

        • +1

The aldi logix used to be good. Looks like they have changed the formula. I'm going back to poweder in any case, that's what the machines are designed to use.

          • @tor: Surely we have had tablets for countless years - machines must be designed for them almost solely. I think there is perhaps 1 choice of powder and 10 choices of tablets in my local store….. How would the design differ anyway?

    • +1

The ball spreads cartoon sparkles around your dishes which literally makes them shine. Why would you risk any other brand, have you not seen the ads?!

    • +1

I have a bunch of these under my sink and use them regularly but for mine the quantum ultimate (gel pack) is the best washing outcome and worth the small premium. Very clean and very dry outcome on any load. These are fine for light to medium soiled loads (95% of washes) but water from the rinse seems to cling with static to some items. Not a huge deal at the price.

Use amex to pay if you have the offer for reject shop.$20.

You can price match with Kmart: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/110-tablets-finish-powerbal… at Chemist and get them for less.

P.S. Price shown at KMart is 10$, but out of stock online.

    • But will they price match if the Kmart site says sold out?

      • Sold out online and can't check stock with stores (like with others available online products)
According to this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/597750 it was a "Clearance" and is now "out of stock"

        • +1

Rang Kmart and no stock Australia wide

Didn't we all get overstocked with the 220 for $9 from the Plus deal ?

    • When was it?

    • +3

Yep the eBay deal was better

Looks like that deal is available at a newly higher price, so $14.05 for 220 tablets with code PLUSWZ10 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/333924636081

        • +1

          Thanks for the link. Bought.

        • Thanks too, much better. Super.

        • Maybe worth it's own deal.

        • +1

Was gonna pop into the reject shop and haggle with them, but you saved me the hassle. +1!

        • That's a much better deal then. Not sure if Reject can beat that price 🤭

        • Thanks for that :)

        • Looks like the code has expired :(

    • +2

No because I don't have Plus.

Great deal. I've been using these tablets for years in my Asko dishwasher and they clean great. No discernible difference between these and the Quantum. I tried the Fairy as well but they didn't work as well.

  • -1

Price per each, and if they need be unwrapped prior to use, in title, Thanks

    • +2

They are individually wrapped and need to be unwrapped before use.

      • -1

Thanks, based on that i will pass, rather a few cents more, no time to waste and NO LANDFILL!

        • Yes because disolvable plastics into the waterways is so much better

          • @J5: Waste water from dishwasher, sink, washing machine go same as toilet, they get treated, cleaned, THEN released into the sea, some say its of drinking standard, might take a pass on that

            • @8200: Google micoplastics and get an idea of just how much the 'treatment' is still releasing waste to the beaches, the fish and food chain.

        • I used to think the disolvable wrapper was better - but if I don't dry the compartment the tablet goes in, it sometime causes the door not to flip open and then no detergent (because I guess the wrapper gets gluey and sticks to the door). Anyway - having no wrapper stops this.

          • @Ruckmauler: The tablets goes in the bottom of the machine, otherwise there's no detergent for the prewash cycle.

            • @tor: I wonder how much is left over from the pre wash cycle to be used during the longer washing cycle?
Maybe its better to save the full tablet for the longer wash cycle.

              • @DarwinBoy: You are correct. The pre rinse water is disposed of and the bulk of the detergent is intended for the main wash. Used to just thow in myself untill I watched a video on the cycle.

  • Found it for $10 at Kmart…they are running a promotion originally $14 but currently marked down to $10

Same one was 9 dollars on eBay Tuesday yeah??

    • +1

      Yes

    • +2

eBay deal was 220 tablets (2 packs) for $9

    • +2

      9$ for two (2x110)

  • Does the Reject Shop still stock Finish?
Last time I was there, they had Tesco 90 tabs for $10

  • Just walk pass reject shop they have stacks of finish tablet at their shop front

  • I prefer the Swiss made dishwasher tablets.

  • eBay had last Tuesday 2X 110 for just $9. It was 39.90 -30.90 voucher on I think 500 units.

    • on 220 units. And it still has that deal for $14.05 delivered. Though eBay Plus membership required to qualify for the voucher.

    • +1

Actually 2K and I got it the next day of their promo :)

      • Ahh probably first 2000 units were at cheaper price (39.90). But the deal is still on (at 44.95), over 2070 units sold so far

  • Got the Quantum version from reject shop. 100x for $29 and then Amex offer for $5 cashback = $24.

I find Quantum leaves a better finish.
