    • I used a parcel locker. It did require a signature but they put it into a locker. Good thing AP accepts Star Track.

      • AP owns StarTrack.

      • Lucky. Hmmm Yeah I know it requires a signature i'm just trying to decipher if it needs to be me. Guess I'll have to call AP in the morning.

        • The delivery guy for the phone I ordered did a safe drop. Not even ringing the door bell. Problem is, there is no sign of the return label being e-mailed.

    • When I went to the PO to pick up an item the other day, I overheard the lady in front of me talking to the person on the counter, and she said they'd need a picture of her friends driving license front and back, and a letter from him or something, if she was picking the parcel up on his behalf. This maybe could be applied to your situation? But yeah, worth calling them up or the depot where it's held at and ask.

Btw, when I got my phone delivered, the guy came, gave it to me and left. Didn't even ask my name and no signature.

      • I guess that means its just a generic sign on delivery required aka can't leave at door but can hand to anyone. Not an actual specific recipient with I.D.

        Cheers

        • Yeah, with the whole covid thing, don't think they do actual signatures anymore. The guy didn't even hand it to me by hand, left it in front of my door and wait for me to pick it up before he left. I remember before covid hit, every express delivery I got had to be signed.

    • I just picked up my wife's phone that was sent to my in law's home, you will the form to authorised an agent to pick the parcel, accompanied with photo id.
Probably send the email that you get as well to your partner/friend. No signing is required

      • Thanks mate!

    • Mine got left on my front steps while I was at work all day. So no.

    • No. My partner accepted the phone on my behalf this morning.

  • Hi, Anyone can help?

I tried trade-up app, after successful testing and input series number, it always says Sorry, we are having a probel executing your request.

Tried a few times, uninstall app and reinstall, cannot get trade in ID.
    Thanks

    • Same issue on my Galaxy Tab. No fix for me. What device do you have?

      • IPAD 7th

        • Go to Samsung store. They can help you with this. I have heard from someone

  • +7

Ozbargainers at their best no wonder they had to fix the loophole 🤦‍♂️

    • UNbelievable!!

    • +1

What a tool, but a cash making tool lol

    • What a piece of sh*t, can we report it to the gumtree or something?

      • +2

He's not breaking any rules, per se.

      • I agree that s/he is a piece of shit, but there's no rules against being an (profanity).

    • it's definitely an ozbargainer lol, as soon as you brought his page to light he removed half the photos of his shady business

      • +1

Likely hundreds more to come, you’ll see them flood gumtree, fb for weeks now

Downside of considering paying the extra $200 even though it’s still good value, the s21 range resell value will drop to shit later in the year with all the cheap stock around

        • yeah greed is gonna bite them back in the ass, they all gonna lowball each other and cut into their profits just to pay off their credit cards haha

      • ah i was wondering why i couldnt see anything haha. What did I miss

    • I cannot view it… just says 1 phone sold?

      What was it

      • was 6 s21 Ultras for sale, he took his add down lol, but will obviously list again with differant name/location

        • lol bit risky if he cannot return them lol I would laugh

Even on sale he would have had to fork out 3000-6000 haha

          • @AussieMark: nah really he cant lose, with all those discounts, wont have a problem making a profit

  • +1

Bit worried about my order… Placed late Monday night, still showing as "Processing"…

    • +3

ask sean he probably has your order lol

    • Similarly, my order has reverted from 'Awaiting Dispatch' to 'Processing' as of today…could be the end?

      • Same here. Will they dispatch?

        • Chat support was confusing. Saying it was showing internally as on board to send to courier from the warehouse. But it displays differently for customers :/

          • @TheSlayr: Not a good news. They don't have stock hence need to wait until restock

    • In the same boat with my dad's phone

    • same. ordered on 30 March, still showing as "Processing". I need this new phone on my Easter holiday trip.

      • Same same.
Im away for a week from Tuesday, so that will make getting my phone changed over and sent back a bit more tricky, assuming it doesn’t arrive today, which it wont given its still ‘processing’.

    • Same here. I have a sinking feeling it will be cancelled :(

      • Early days my friend. We’ll be fine

    • Has anyone gotten their pending charge on their credit card reversed from Samsung? It looks like they are getting cancelled. I ordered one for Dad on monday afternoon, and the pending charge on my credit card isn't there anymore, and the available credit has gone back up too…

      • Nope. Samsung's transaction was fully completed by yesterday on my card.

  • Should I include the original box when sending the phone back or send it without it? I figured it's pretty much useless if I keep it anyways…

    • They just need the phone that's it

  • Btw This is the last day for getting samsung care plus for 50% off.

  • +2

Upgraded from S10+ to S21+, not happy with the screen. I suggest checking at a store before purchasing

    • What's disappointing about it

      • +1

FHD screen, it's noticeable. Icons are not sharp on S21+.

        • Wow, you have good eyes.
I tried to see the difference, but really honestly couldn't appreciate a real life difference between FHD+ and WQHD+.

        • I tried with my note10plus, can not tell the difference between 1080 and 1440, consider s21 has smaller screen, it should be ok for me.

          • @H_J: Changing from an S8 to an S21, it doesn't bother me. The difference is only noticeable when you look very closely. It's not that the screen is less sharp, but that the pixels are bigger and more visible.

    • make sure you change the background etc because they have an absolutely terrible background that make the quality look crappy

    • +1

Upgraded from S9 (570ppi) to S21+ (394ppi) and I'm completely happy with the screen.

      • I couldn't see any difference at first but seems it's been bugging me I guess I paid more attention to it. I would say it's sometimes slightly noticeable, mostly during animation. Otherwise while playing a video or gaming I can't tell the difference with my S10 in 1440p.
I have the S21 though, so I imagine it would be more visible on a S21+

        • +2

          Honestly, I'd much, much rather 394ppi @ 120hz than 570ppi @60hz.

          • @wombat81: I weirdly don't see much difference between 60hz and 120hz.
Again I don't mind the lower resolution, just can't wait for my brain to stop looking for difference with my old 1440p mobile 😂

  • Mine wouldn't stack when entering the trade up details on the screen where you select the phone.

Buuuut managed to make it work by doing this:

    • Add phone you want without trade-up
    • On checkout page add the coupon codes first
    • Then you can add the trade up details on this page, while the coupons are already applied

This was around 4:30pm yesterday with a code they said couldn't be stacked. Not sure if I just got lucky but worth a go.

    • The stacking was disabled some time after that. There's now no way to do that.

    • $200 code doesn't work at all, even without trade in.

I get 'invalid code' every time I try to apply it to an order (s21+)

      • Some $200 codes are invalid. I got mine from Samsung rep and showed invalid. Then I had to ask for another one which worked.

        • When you say 'invalid', what was the error message?

If you went to a standard page (non trade), add a phone to basket and checkout, you can test the $200 in there. If it works, it's good to go.

But ever since 1630hrs on 31st March, it can't be stacked with the $500 deal.

          • @Lord Ra: My error message was 'invalid code'

  • Online Post Purchase Team responses:

Upon checking, yes, there seems to be a delay on the delivery of your order.(placed on 30 March)

Your order should have been shipped by now, my apologies on this. Yes, normally, it would only take 1 to 2 business days for orders placed on or before 2 PM and within the metro.

we are currently working on skeletal manpower due to the current health concern, this can be the reason why the order has not been shipped out yet.

Other processes has been delayed as well.

    • -1

Same boat here mate. Tipping our orders get cancelled :( there is no stock issue… So unsure the hold up.

      • No,I don't think it would be cancelled, Money has been charged showing on my bank account.

        • Yeah same here, but other people have seen the order cancelled and order refunded.

          • @MJD91: Really??
There was one guy who posted that here, but couldn’t prove it.
Are there others? I wouldn’t believe it if its something someone has ‘heard’.
Im thinking stock issues atm, but i ordered an ultra which is still showing to be in stock and am still listed as processing after 2 days.

      • There is some issue, my order was placed Friday night. Only got confirmed on Monday but on Tuesday got notified that ETA was now 16th of April due to unforeseen issues…assuming it is stock related as the standard s21 has been OOS since Monday I think

        • Put an order for S21 - violet on Monday night, and got it yesterday. you must be the unlucky one as what ever color that you order gone oos

    • Speaking to a rep and she said there was some delay, but did not really specify what - just that it will be escalated and I'll hear from them in a few days.

Not holding my breath for a positive outcome.

  • +3

I've received mine, order was pending a while but went through fine

    • +1

When you say "pending a while" do you mean a couple of days?

      • Yeah Thursday until Tuesday
        Stacked all the codes

    • Thanks for letting us know .. hope it's the same for the rest also.

  • Guys, can anyone update about the camera performance of samsung galaxy s 21 ultra. I am watching online reviews, and all of them said snapdragon is way better than exynos in camera tast. So want to make sure its camera quality is alright. Still 4 more week to go for the customised s21 ultra. So, if the camera is that bad, thinking of selling this one and importing one from Amazon US.

    • I think 2 years warranty or AKA (AU stock) is much important than this slight difference. No Au stock no trade up next time.

      • That is also important. But if phone can't take a good picture than what the point of having this camera featured phone. Heard recent updates fixed some issues so want to know. Once I compared samsung store display phone with my note 9. At that time, display unit took photos better than note 9 so thought the exynos camera quality has improved. So pulled the trigger. But as per earlier comments, the displayed units are not AU stocks like in Jb hifi and samsung store, so bit concerned.

        • +1

I don’t think there will be much difference with photo quality.
JB hifi seem have international version on display, SM-G998B/DS. but it still use Exynos. Not Snapdragon.

          • @j00828: Let hope they are same. As reviews claimed, exynos one is away inferior in camera quality specially indoor and night photos and videos.
Hopefully someone will comment about their experiences from our community.

            • @Donask: Need to be realistic and not get carried away. In videos, under normal condition, SD is not always better, especially on the focus side. It depends.

Low light, honestly, if you really care about low light, you would go for DSLR or mirrorless. Low light video, SD appears to be better. That said, are you that impressed with SD's low light videos? However, if you really want SD, then get the imported one. Do bear in mind the sellers know people want the SD version more so they do cost more.

              • @netsurfer: kinda crazy that there are even variations of the same phone

                • @AussieMark: So much variations, some get the textured carbon fibre material in the cam bump.

                • @AussieMark: It is a licensing issue on CDMA based technology, 4G and 5G (with Qualcomm).

    • Damn! Haven't heard of those reviews but one of the reasons I bought the S21 Ultra was the camera. Sucks if it isn't that good. Will play with it over the weekend and see those online reviews. I am using the phone already so there's no cancelling option for me. Have returned my S10+ an hour ago. :(

      • +2

Don't worry. Most of the reviews are affected by Dxomark, and Dxomark's reviews are suspicious at best.
There was a couple of noise issues with the S21 Ultra but it has been pretty much fixed with recent updates. It can still be improved upon with future updates. No need to worry, the Ultra is one of the best phones you can find in terms of the camera.

Most YouTube reviewers are parrots who just repeat whatever Dxomark and Gsmarena say.

        • I watch those reviews as you have mentioned above and watched several videos and photos side by side comprasion from novice reviewers too. So, I am lit be afraid, our s21 ultra is not that great compare to snapdragon one. I have note 9 and I have the pictures from this camera comparing to iphone photos. It always came out lit bit washed out. I am using note 9 since the lunch and I am not happy with it. And the reviews also point out being washed out colours.
So, if anyone got their phone already, would you plz share your thoughts. If the pictures are washed out like note 9, i am not going to open the box and sell it with sealed intact and will wait for S22 or buy the snapdragon one. This is the only thing I am concern. I dont care about performance and battery life as I am not a heavy game user and bettery will last a day even if its worse.

    • Check out Danny Winget on YouTube for op9, 12PM and s21 ultra camera.. S21 ultra did very well. I have an s21 U coming from a 12pm

      • I've watched that video on my new S21 Ultra and I thought it did worse, compared to Op9 and iPhone Max Pro 12, particularly the night video of the Ultra sucked a lot.

        • I dunno man but not from what I saw

        • If my photos come out anywhere as good as what Danny Winget produces I'd be v happy. That guy is very good w his photography. And must say it's fabulous what the S21 Ultra produces in his hands.

  • Anyone received ”SAMSUNG TRADE IN DEVICE NOT RETURN REMINDER” email despite already sent of their phone ?

    • Yes. If you kept your receipt from the post office you'll be able to track the delivery. Even though I posted it the day after I got the initial email, it still hadn't been delivered a week later. It has been confirmed delivered now though.

      • When did you get the initial e-mail (how soon after you received the phone)? I still haven't received the e-mail with the postage label information from Asurion. I called Samsung support and one support staff indicated Asurion will send me a satchel (I doubt that), the other one just said wait up to 7 days for the label.

        • Request it from:

          [email protected]

Put your order no. and trade up id in the subject.

        • I'm having the same issue. I've emailed Asurion using 3 different email addresses. They finally responded to me this morning after I used my second email address. But annoyingly they told me I should have received the label when I ordered the Samsung. I replied to that email saying it's incorrect and that people are receiving the email on the day the phones arrived. It's been a few hours and still no response.

Terrible service and there's no phone number to call. I recoeved my phone on Monday so I'm running out of time.

          • @waterstone: Are you able to check your order status. Mine is stuck at dispatched.

With help from ValouSydney, he checked his, and his order is in delivered status (and he has received that e-mail). When I talked to Samsung Support, their initial impression is I haven't got the new Samsung phone (i.e. it hasn't been delivered). Support did indicate that there is a system migration which started on the 30/03, but that's actually no good as yours was delivered on the 29/03 - before that migration so that doesn't sound like the cause of the issue.

            • @netsurfer: My order status is dispatched but then in the diagram below it shows delivered with the blue circle on 4

      • straight after the new phone was delivered
