Got this a few weeks ago, absolutely love it.
I prefer smaller mice so happy with this over the bigger brother

      Is that what she said?

    • How "clicky" is the mouse?
Bought an MX Master some time back and ended up reselling because the click was so darn loud

      • +1

You will LOVE the Logitech Pebble. It’s as small as the Anywhere, but flatter and much lighter. Doesn’t have as much buttons or hyper scroll, but you get over that very quickly.

The click is basically silent and very satisfying.

I use the MX Master 3 on my off days. Still like the Pebble, which is only like $24 when on sale.

      • Try Razer Viper. Silent

      • +1

logitech m590 has a silent click

  • bought my from ebay 2-3 weeks ago, good mouse, but i think i only paid around $80 after discount,

    • Got mine last week using the 20% off Afterpay code but paid with vouchers so got mine for $64. Great mouse! I also have the Anywhere 2s and the biggest upgrade is the scroll wheel and to a lesser extent usb-c.

      • Is the scroll wheel also the middle button with the anywhere 3

Annoyed me with anywhere 2 how it was a separate button

        • I wish they would at least just put it in front of the wheel instead of behind it.

        • Yep, the scroll wheel is a third button.

If these price drop just a bit lower and I may consider replacing my old trusty MX 2 Anywhere.

  • Quick question, do these work via bluetooth or do you need to have a usb receiver plugged in? I have a macbook which only has USBC ports, there is nothing in the market that does these yet…

    • +4

This should support both direct-Bluetooth, and using a USB receiver, independently

      • I use the USB receiver for family PC, then Bluetooth on work laptop. Switching is simply pressing the button underneath to swap profiles.
Saved me having 2 mice which is the main reason I purchased

    • +2

There is a Mac version of these that comes in white (the pale grey), but you dont get a usb receiver in the box. They do work over bluetooth, and can connect to multiple devices via bluetooth at the same time.

      • so is it better value getting the black one as it includes a usb receiver as well? looks like both work on mac directly the same way.?

        • +1

This white one is NOT the for mac one, so you can get this white one anyways and it will have the usb receiver. The only other difference is that these ones will come with a USB A to USB C cable, whereas the for MAC will come with a USB C to USB C cable.

I’m using the 2 anywhere (non mac version) on my MacBook Pro M1 using Bluetooth. Works super smooth, no USB dongles required.

    • Cheers all!

I use it over bluetooth but prefer using the unifying receiver - I find it is more consistent, has a higher refresh rate(I am sure there is a mouse-specific term for this), and skips/lags less often.
What's nice is that with the advent of USB-C/TB ports on the newer Macs, the unifying receiver can just sit on a USB-C multipurpose hub and you still only need to plug one cable into your laptop when you get home to charge, display, and output audio (via a USB DAC). Super slick stuff.

      • Yep and via receiver has better latency as well

      • +1

higher refresh rate(I am sure there is a mouse-specific term for this)

Is polling rate the term you're thinking of?

  • Is this worth $24 more than the Anywhere 2S?

    • 10g lighter, USB-C, better main scroll wheel than even the mx master 3 so depends if you value those features

      • +1

Love to have those feature, but 3 cannot do the left and right click on the scroll wheel, that's a deal breaker for me :(

        • Same here….I upgraded from 2S yesterday and found the lack of left & right switch on the scroll wheel on the 3 infuriating! I used this to switch between multiple open tabs in a browser and there is no easy way to do this anymore unless you use the side buttons. Logitech did a similar dick move b/w the original MX Anywhere and Anywhere 2S. I think I’m going to go back to my 2S and use it until it completely falls apart. At the moment the sides have worn out, but the mouse is in a perfectly usable condition.

So if you want to buy 2S new, I’d still recommend it. The only thing the 3 does better IMO is USB-C charging.

          • @sinbox: I use my left and right scroll as copy and paste. Without it is a deal breaker

          • @sinbox: I agree, I wouldn’t upgrade from my current Anywhere 2S to 3. Left and right switches of the scroll button is very useful to me. I use that for horizontal scrolling.

I don’t need USB-C on the mouse, as I charge the mouse only once in 4/5 months and within 3-4 hours it gets charged to full.

I’ll wait for Anywhere 4 😀, to check if I need to upgrade

The MX Anywhere 3 and MX Master 3 have the same electromagnetic scroll wheel.

        • +1

You can control ratchet strength in the anywhere (as in how strong it feels), not in the master. Dunno if it's something they can unlock in the software for the master but they haven't done it yet. Personally have both master and anywhere 3 and think it's a really underappreciated feature.

          • @w0t: Neat! Good to know thanks.

    • Yes.

    • Up to 70 days battery life, rechargeable, USB-C fast charging, electromagnetic scroll wheel, already made app customization & Logitech Flow.

My wife complained to me about the terrible experience with her current mouse on the way to the office this morning.
Thank you, OZbargainer, for saving my marriage.

  • Great mouse (Great for claw grip people), only caveat is the electromagnetic adjustable scroll wheel scrolls inconsistently (particularly on the way up), sometimes only scrolling a few px in response to a huge flick of the wheel. In other words, it forces you to be patient and do slower, more purposeful scrolls….
Reddit threads seem to echo the same sentiments.

  • Thanks OP

  • Anyone here use this mouse for gaming? I have this mouse but I can't seem to map a "hold" function to the forward/back buttons. This is annoying if you're trying to use them as the hold button for voice chat in games.
