I'm sure some of the more 'trampy' girls on there might already have stamps….

  • Oasis Active is 100% free and used by a lot more people.

If you do have a lot of spare money then a paid site will give you an advantage though. Thats the only reason you would ever use a site like this, because your relying on the fact that guys generally don't want to pay for dating.

Yes. I want to filter out guys who are too much of a tight ass to buy stamps. It pixxes me off to no end when some clown sends me a kiss that states "If you send the first email, I'll shout the first coffee" or if they send a normal kiss and I respond that I'd like to hear from them and they send a second kiss saying that I should pay for the stamp.

I don't even respond to these losers. They are pathetic.

I met my wife on RSVP.. I had to buy some stamps to get to message her and unfortunately, I'm STILL paying! :)

        • +5

I'm sure she's still paying for that one too.

        • Congrats! :)
I tend to get "new immigrants" or "older ladies" myself. It'll be nice if they repaid the courtesy of reading the "ideal" partner thingy :P

        • And you'll be paying for the rest of your life! :D

.. So … do you come here often?

      • +1

You must be from Sydney….Melbourne girls seem more proactive :)

        • No Perth. And we have a "man shortage" here. If I send a guy a kiss and he says, "Yep, go ahead and write", I will use one of my stamps. If a guy sends me a kiss, I fully expect him to pay for the stamp if I say I am open to contact from him.

One new member did send me a kiss and he was a widower and looked pretty good. I did reply with an email as he really looked perfect and I figured if he didn't have any stamps already, I would just as soon he didn't buy any to contact me so he wouldn't have extras hanging around waiting to be used on other women.

I would never ever send an email to some loser bottom feeder who sent me a kiss and said he would "shout me the first coffee" if I paid for contact.

  • makes it handy for those people who want to make one connection. Oasis Active is by far better, and its free. have not had to worry about it for a long time though.

    Doesn't work.
You're supposed to sign up with: http://www.rsvp.com.au/content/zine/free-dating/23320.jsp
    Page 1: register
Page 2: 'looking for' details and promo code
and by the time you get to the page to enter your promo details, when it doesn't work, your account is already created anyway… dodgy, kind of crap you can expect from RSVP in general.

      • As per the 'nick zzz' post just above, the code doesn't work.
