That's an SX750, not SF750.
Personal experience, these SFX PSUs from Corsair have terrible coil whine. It’s intermittent and even when the PC is off. Just itself plugged into the wall outlet it coil whines. Bad batch? Who knows, I had 3 duds from 3.
That sucks, I haven't heard about this problem. There was a recall for a certain batch but that was because of high failure rates.
Were they all the same model? I think the first 4 numbers in the serial number represents the production year and week.
First was an SF600, replaced with an SF750, then another SF750. I still have it but will offload to get something else.
I’ve tested with different IEC cables and sockets around the house. Definitely a PSU problem.
I believe you, coil whine is very annoying.
I have a SF450 Gold coming in soon, if it has coil whine I'm sending it right back.
Price has decreased to $120.60.
Thanks for posting this. I went with SF750 instead of this as I'm preparing for my upcoming ITX build.
Total damage was $210.20 for anyone interested (I've used the gift card method to save another 5% in cashback).
