  • Can this be useful to attach to a mountain bike for extra security. I like the idea it has wireless remote. Has anyone used this product is it any good.

i wouldn't mind one for my bike but won't it be obvious (90mm x 55mm)? where do you mount it.

also might be good for popping inside a bag or computer (as one of the commenters said)

      • computer idea is good. but not so sure on a bike. if theyre out on the street, people might knock into them accidentally and stuff and the alarm would go off.
similar principal applies to a bag i guess, unless the bag is staying 100% stationary.

      • I've got an early version of this kind of device. If it was on a bike, the wind can blow, and that will cause it to swing ever so slightly, but more than enough to set it off

$9.99 on ebay with free shipping. This isnt really a saving….

      Hmmm. … isn't 6.52 lesser than 9.99?

    • +1

      It's more than >33% off $9.99

can't the thief just smash or simply kick the unit and disable it for good?

  • it seems too sensitive in the youtube video. Just one touch will trigger the alarm. Is it adjustable?

  • where to enter the coupon code?

    • Thanks, bought 1. Hugo, I Paypal-ed $6.52 as stated, entered coupon code toward the end, just before confirming the order. Will be useful, hidden in my m'cycle. Few tea-leaves wd take the liberty of searching for the source of a loud alarm which isn't easily visible (whether on a m/bike, or in a bag).

  • Widely worked on the windows, door, or your coffer

coffer? A rather archaic word. I first read it as chinglish for "coffin". You don't want granddad changing his mind at the last moment.

    • "Koffer" is German for a suitcase

I got one of these from ebay for $8.40 a few months ago and its been a little ripper. Here's a video link (not mine) of it in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft0J3I3S36c. I Velcro'd it under the seat of my scooter and it goes off at the slightest tap. Pretty loud too - a good theft deterrent. The remote works through the seat and fairings to a range of about 10 meters. Hundreds of these things are on ebay now for about the same price, but well worth the money either way. p.s the 9V battery it came with is still working after a few months. I've had a $100 Xena alarm that was filled with 6 watch batteries, 9V is a way better idea and cheaper.
