  • Another FF deal is - Ella Bache free $20 gift voucher if you buy a $50 gift voucher

    Oh the irony…

    • +6

more burgers -> more fat -> more fitness first ?

      • +1

Yes, a sound business descision, but no less ironic.

  • +4

It's ironic that Fitness First are encouraging members to visit Nandos.

  • Anyway to use this if your not a fitness first member?

    • You can try presenting the voucher and seeing how you go. Its a pretty small fine print that you need to flash your FF card and they might miss it - then let us know how you go ;-)

  • +4

ha ha talk about smart business model.

1 - Join gym to get fit
2 - Use gym coupons to get discount junk food
3 - Go to gym to burn previous food consumption
    4 - repeat steps 2-3

  • +1

Maybe someone can upload a scan of a fitness first membership card for us?

    • This is a new level of Tight, rocking up to Nandos with an A4 printout of some guy's scanned FF card.

Vote Robinsoa #1 Ozbargain Grand Poobah!

I'll wait for FF to have a Buy one KFC Bucket get one Free.

  • "Don't waste your workout"

Lol, you work out just so you can eat fattening junk food, which in turn wastes all the effort you put in to stay slim.

You'd think they would at least partner up with Subway…

    • +2

Nandos isnt junk food. You can eat healthy at Nandos i.e have chicken tenderlions and rice /salad which is healthy. Subway can just be as unhealthy. Steak & cheese subway with southwest sauce and cookie/drink = Epic fat.

      • +1

Well many fast food chains nowadays have healthy options, thanks to McDonalds setting the trend.

However in terms of image and marketing Nando's probably isn't the best choice as a sponsor. Sumo Salad, for instance, would be ideal.

e chicken tenderlions and rice /salad which is healthy

Unfortunately, the coupon doesn't cover salad!

        • Why not. It's a side you can have with a meal. Get the 1/4 chicken meal with salad and water and you get another 1/4 chicken. High protein low carb meal.

  • If you were a previous member of FF and retained ur old card, I would guess you could use that! "now to go through that junk draw, where could it B"

  • Time to dig out my old (expired) FF membership card ;)

  • please note that you will need to buy "a meal" to get the "second item" (not meal) for free.

    • +1

It says you will receive the same item for free.

Buy a Burger, get a Burger free.

Buy a Wrap, get a Wrap free.

Buy a meal, get a meal free.

      • no he/she is right, you only get the item after buying a meal. its in the t&c

    • correct scrypton…

T&C: "Free item includes ¼ Chicken, Classic Burger, Wrap or Pita item only. Complementary item does not include extra"

extras being the drink and sides… what a jipp!

      • Dont need to get the meal then. Better value just getting the individual item and getting the second item free?

I find nandos meals arent really worth it anyway. cost of meal = cost of main item + cost of side + cost of drink (typically) anyway. It cost $6.50 to turn it into a meal, $3.95 of that is regular chips.

But yes i agree - apologise for my poor wording around the meal.

  • +5

Ok here goes…I haven't been to FF gym in around 6 months, still paying for the membership(possibly the most unozbargainlike thing I have ever done) I'll scan up my card and post it up…

    Fitness First Scan

Not sure how you will be able to authenticate this but I've uploaded both front and back. Hopefully if you get caught they will cancel my membership and I won't have to pay early termination fees

    • maybe now some people use your scans to make nice working cards and then they have free gym membership until you eventually cancel it :-) Perhaps you even get new offers sent to you due to your sudden frequent attendance at their gyms all over the country :-)

    • that could backfire, they could say "you were careless you should have kept the card more secure" and you could forfeit the rest of your membership! just sell the rest of it, unless they don't allow that

      • I'm locked into a 12 month contract that ends March so not too long to go. I don't mind forfeiting the rest of my membership as long as I don't have to pay the $200 termination fee

        • Thanks :D I shall test this tomorrow. I just have to briefly flash it ;) Ill let you know how I go haha

  • there are much better benefits of gyms than weight loss.,.

as for the deal, they havnt termed it very well, as i would say the only meal in the deal is the peta meal. and you should get the free item with the purchase of a 1/4 chicken, classic burger or classic wrap.

  • can i confirm that if you have gold membership (> 1 yr) you can bring a friend EVERY weekend? does that mean you can bring the same friend every weekend no strings attached?

    • +1

It seems to be the case. Log on here:

      https://www.firstclub.fitnessfirst.com.au/

And you should see the offer at the top. You need to print off the voucher (which has your name and unique member ID) and present it every time you bring someone. Its similar to the deal they had last month (December) where you could bring any 2 people with you every day for all of December. However the T&C's say they may need to fill out the pre-exercise questionnaire (although that never happened with the 3 people i brought along in December).

  • +3

bring a friend no strings attached.. hahah yeah right.
may as well invite them to an amway meeting.

    • So true….my mate almost gave them MY mobile number while we were in the car as he already got roped in. I smacked him the face before he got the last 3 digits out! I would have been getting daily calls for years otherwise…
