It appears that these vouchers are now being released by local government areas.

Dine & Discover NSW is being rolled out through March 2021. Throughout each week, vouchers will become available in more and more Local Government Areas (LGAs).

Use the Dine & Discover NSW Voucher address check to see if you can apply for the vouchers.

Every NSW resident aged 18 and over will be eligible for four $25 vouchers worth $100 in total. The vouchers can be used at participating NSW businesses who are registered as COVID safe.

The Dine & Discover NSW vouchers will be divided into two categories:

  • two $25 vouchers to be used for eating in at restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs from Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays.
  • two $25 vouchers to be used for entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues, available 7 days a week, excluding public holidays.

2032 - Your address is not eligible yet
You can apply for Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers within the next few weeks.

    • +12

Is that the postcode or the date that they'll actually deliver on the promises?

  • +1

A friend of mine got like 2 or 3 weeks ago. It all depends on your location. Mine is "Your address is not eligible yet
You can apply for Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers within the next few weeks."

    • +6

Going by the responses here, it seems like your friend is the only person in NSW who has an address that is eligible, thus far.

      • +2

        The vouchers like this https://imgur.com/a/L9mSKzO

You could try the address search with any address in postcode 2000 that would bee eligible.

      • +3

The trial kicked off in Sydney Northern Beaches, I got mine on 22 Feb

      • +1

got mine too in the northern beaches. Could not find a single place that accepted it a couple of weeks ago. Maybe was too early..

        • +6

Most places on the Northern Beaches are taking the vouchers now. Dee Why hotel is doubling the voucher, so you get $50 to spend on food with just one $25 voucher.

          • @iLLUME: ah great! thanks for letting me know!!!!! is that a common thing around or just their promo?
            cheers

  • Not appearing in the app on my phone yet.

You may have to update your app first.

The question is, what will these sell for on eBay? :)

Maybe you're not an adult ?

    • Same here

  • +3

    Address discriminated

  • +2

Hope Victorian Government follows similar scheme..

    • -7

      Why?

    • +4

Me too, I love increasing the tax burden for my grandkids!

      • +1

Why save for tomorrow when you can spend tomorrow’s money today!

      • +3

That’s an overly simplistic take on the economics. These cost the government nothing (excluding initial setup costs) unless they are spent and when spent they have a stimulating effect on the economy and the money moves through the economy creating value multiple times the original cost. It’s possible that the vouchers will ultimately increase government revenue and/or reduce expenditure in the long term. The costliest outcome for your grandkids would be a protracted economic downturn.

        • while true, it's a better take than the left view that printing money is the solution to everything.
probably better than the stimulus cheqz.

          • @furyou: And yet this time around it is the right spending money like it grows on trees and it's almost like there was never a "debt and deficit crisis".

  • -2

Any ideas when people's addresses will be eligible? They expire soon dont they so limited time to go out and use them

    • +1

are valid to 30 June 2021

i don't think waiting another week will cause any issues.

      • -1

Did they say everyone will get it in a weeks time?

        • Dine & Discover NSW is being rolled out through March 2021

Ok, you got me, you might have to wait 2 more weeks.

          • -5

            @battler: :(

Like with anything government related… Delays delays delays out of stock .

  • I live in too posh of an area of Sydney. Discriminated.

    • Yeah, you and your mates get $100,000,000 each for your businesses, especially gas!

    • +3

Northern Beaches got it first, maybe you're just not posh enough :)

If it requires a QCode to be used, stick it.

  • Is it per household or per NSW resident?

  • Address not ready

    2111 not available yet.

  • No available yet either

  • You can check if your elegible on the Service NSW website https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/dine-discover-nsw-vouchers-ad…

  • 2565 is ready and just got my vouchers 20 minutes after submitted the application.

  • Received late Feb and used 1 Dine already. The Discover locations aren't too great in my area. Can't see them getting used tbh

    • Where can i check which venues are eligible

      • FFS did you click the link?

        • Sorry just realised we are talking about 2 different links.

        • That escalated quickly

  • seems like 2000 works…

    • That's 'cause businesses in The Rocks are participating in the trial

  • I'm not eligible it seems.

  • +1

Wonder does it require PR or citizenship to use? I didn't see enough supporting document available.

    • Although not specified but seems to be for PRs and Citizens only. My address is eligible but cant apply as I dont have listed docs.

      • Yeah, same here. But some people have a driver's license, not sure what's the other one could be provided.

        • If you have driver license, you can use your Visa for other document.

          • @Tro2733: Like, whatever visa? Interesting, I didn't notice any similar options, will double-check later. Thank you!

            • @phoenixpan: Yes, any visa. In other document list, Visa is present. You just need to enter foreign passport number and they will verify the visa. I was able to do that but I don't have any other documents.

              • +1

@Tro2733: They should have a bank statement as an option to validate the address and enable visa holders (at least make it easier)

    • +1

This is very odd. My partner has been residing in Sydney for the past 4 years on a student visa and her address is eligible for vouchers. The NSW service website recognizes her visa document and foreign passport no problem, but there is no option for a 2nd document for someone who is not a permanent resident (or currently applying for PR). Why do they even have "travel visa" on the list of documents if the vouchers are for PR's only?

      • +2

No idea, I eventually used my Medicare and visa, but for those who haven't applied for PR (no Medicare), it's a bit unfair.

        • +3

We ended up going into the NSW Service branch and they accepted NSW issued Photo ID card + Foreign passport, and they input the documents manually.

Nice! Mods, can we pin this or add to original post? (Is this in the source code?)

      Edit: Yes it is.

It's JSON, so it's either there or in a response from a crafted API call

        Did I read right?

        Bogan Shire Council

    • looks like you ran an API / Service to get this data?

      • +2

No, it’s all there in the page source code

    • Warning, Service NSW have now gone back to the payload and changed any non-active date to a placeholder of 2050-01-01.

Someone will have to diff the page every once in a while in order to check that the initial dates hold up.

Evidently someone there noticed this post. :)

NSW government should allow other states residents to apply so to boost interstate tourism

    • +4

After QLD pays the quarantine bill :P

      • I was going to throw $$ at NSW, but I guess they don't want it? :S

        • +2

If I recall correctly, the bill the QLD treasurer tore up was $$,$$$,$$$.
While your $$ is appreciated, we need a few more $ than that.

          • @Lord Fart Bucket: I'm happy to spend more if the NSW gov wants to offer more vouchers? :p

I'm just trying to calculate how far I need to travel to get to maccas (at George St) :p

    • Agree. ACT allowed NSW residents to claim ACT vouchers, which supports ACT businesses. A reciprocal program would provide much needed support for NSW areas struggling from tourism downturn.

NSW is not just saying "&#!$ you!" to people who live just across the border, they're actively failing to support some of their (tourism-related) businesses that are struggling the most. What a wasted opportunity.

      • +1

NSW is offering something solely for NSW residents. How f$&@king dare they!

I mean seriously karen, would you like me to call the manager?

(P.s. I am no fan of the nsw government)

  • +1

    Hopefully QLD government follows suit.

    • +3

Hopefully, so far all they've done is cried for welfare to help support border closures.

      • Well, they launched the tourism voucher on Monday, but that's pretty useless as it only covers tours/activities and not accomodation.

        • You should see the Victorian scheme.
