My friend has this laptop and it's really great. Looks and feels solid. Good quality.
Graphics card typo in title?
Thanks title updated.
This has 1650ti gpu not what title says..
Specs look pretty good for $$
Interesting to hear more real user reviews ..This also seems like a pretty decent deal!
https://online.acer.com.au/acer/store/acer-nitro-5-intel-cor…
remember,3060 laptop only cost you around 1700
The refresh rate is only 60hz
Won't need much more with a 1650Ti.
1650ti is very old
i5-10300H
Tenth Gen.For context, this laptop was under $1000 in late 2020 with 8GB of RAM.
I returned mine because of keyboard issues during blind typing. if a key is pressed not dead centre, it will not register, lots of typos
for gaming it was ok. never got too hot.
also fyi these are 999 at acer outlet, 1099 for i7
I think we've narrowed it down to this version https://online.acer.com.au/acer/store/acer-nitro-5-intel-cor…
and perhaps the matching Asus Strix G15 https://www.centrecom.com.au/asus-rog-strix-g15-g512lu-156-f…Go to uncle Harvey for better specs and prices on the Nitro.
Bugger.
That Acer I linked was $200 cheaper on the weekend.
For an extra $200 you can get same laptop with the RTX 2060 graphics card (+60-80% performance). Reviews say this laptop is easy to upgrade RAM and hard drives.

The 1660 is almost as good an increase, correct?
Yes.
The MSI one is around $1400 for 1660Ti.
Legion i7 with 1660 Ti is similar price too:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/607208There are a lot of options around the $1400 price point.
I think we've settled on the Nitro i5/8/2060 as linked above by CleverCounter. We'll add RAM and a HDD.
If Acer repeats their weekend sale from last weekend then perhaps the i7/16/1660 with a price beat at OW.
If you want this laptop I have this (8gb version and upgraded the RAM up to 16gb and added NVME SSD to it too).
My review is noted in comments in here:

Runs warzone great now for me at 80 FPS (locked in, can be higher) - pretty much all I do with it and browsing.
If you want better performance definitely grab 2060 if you can that CleverCounter noted above.
still waiting 996acer nitro 5.
The MSi 1660Ti is back on sale from Microsoft for $1299.
$100 cash back if you have AMEX offer.
$1200 for 1660Ti + i7 10th gen + 144Hz = good value
For those on VPN, I'm getting a 406 error when using my PIA Melbourne connection, but it works fine using the Sydney server.
