  it's got, RAM (GB).. sounds great
  I wouldn't be paying $1,500 for any laptop with only 8GB RAM, no matter how good the build quality.

    Personally I try to get the ones with less RAM because I can upgrade to 64 GB with a couple of sticks much more cheaply. I seldom see over 40GB RAM being utilised, so I'm fine with a machine if it can support 64GB user-upgradable.

    Agreed. Can’t imagine why shell out $1.5k for a last gen XPS, while the the latest model is on sale with lower prices.
