Is this the cheapest price for xiaomi filter?
i think it's been lower but there might not have been free shipping
Also a great price, same code applies : https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/xiaomi-mi-anti-formaldehyde-fil…
Thank you so much OP. Just in time to replace the filter.
Cheers got two
It took 3 months for them to process and ship my order, not recommend them.
Mine is the same, ordered in Oct 2020, delivered in late Dec https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571251
However, last time when I purchased it was marked as "Pre sale" and has already mentioned it will not deliver until 1st Dec
This time its "In stock" so I dont think it will take that long to deliverThey were very dodgy, they didn’t ship my order but shipped other orders who bought at the high price and the item was in stock on their website at a higher price.
Also, I bought a Xiaomi fan and everything I asked them, they send me a new estimate time of delivery, still nothing now and the order still not shipped. Again, the item is actually selling on their website right now but they don’t want to ship my order just because they sold at a special price. I hope ACCC would look into this dodgy practice, and send them another penalty
Ordered yesterday the item has now shipped
Got a Australia Post tracking number too
what's the best way to dispose of them? will they end up in landfill?
Put them in the bin, and yes.
Xiaomi should offer a recycling service.
Do the other air purifier manufacturers offer this?
@John Kimble: i don't know, but it depends on the design of the filter. They vary in both size and composition.
My Vornado filters don't have any hard plastic. The prefilter is just a layer of foam, and the main filter is collapsible cardboard. It's pure filter with minimal casing. This is more environmentally friendly than Xiaomi's filters which are huge and contain a lot of hard plastic casing. That plastic is 100% reuseable/refurbishable.
It's a Chinese company. The environment, as a priority for them, would rank somewhere between zero and negative infinity.
@dcash: weird that.. when you compare pollution per capita, they rank 55, while rich countries like us, UK and USA rank firmly high in the top 10. It's almost as if 1.4 billion population skews statistics.
All this while being the world's factory and the world's recycling plant, importing the trash and the pollution of rich countries and lower those countries numbers.
@lostn: Because naturally you'd believe information coming out of China, right? I suppose you also believe that Covid-19 didn't originate in China, and that China is treating the Uyghurs with respect, and so forth. I feel sorry for you. I really do.
@lostn: Their population does skew statistics, many do not live in conditions we deem adequate, whereas comparatively few in the UK, USA or Australia live in as poor conditions as the average Chinese person. They have had significant pollution issues in certain areas i.e. cities. So it depends on how you see the issue. If standards of living rise, pollution will increase.
Just got a shipping notification, guess they actually have stock!?

So will this catch all dust, which you can just shake off? I only use my purifier to catch dust. Every 2-3 months I will vacuum a thick layer of dust off my filter…
