[NSW] Free Dine & Discover Vouchers (2x $25 for Food, 2x $25 for Entertainment) for Use at The Rocks (Test Programme)

100

Dine & Discover is an initiative by the NSW Government to encourage the community to get out and about, supporting dining, arts and tourism businesses and stimulating spending in the economy.

Before Dine & Discover NSW opens up across the state, the scheme will be tested with a small number of participants at The Rocks and Broken Hill in early February, and then piloted with a larger group in Sydney CBD, Northern Beaches and Bega Valley from late February.

The Rocks is the first test location for Sydney City residents to use their vouchers at participating COVID Safe businesses.

Service NSW will invite customers in the test and pilot areas to participate.

  • If you use the current voucher at the rocks, can you get another when the march roll out takes place?

      No

Wonder if they'll raise the prices

You may see Mr Jack everywhere, I think most of them will create a set for this.

      1 coffee + piece of toast $25

    • Why? Government will pay them anyway. Heard in the news that other places will even double the value just to encourage people more.

Unfortunately that always happens. NSW Fair Trading is a weak agency or a toothless tiger and non proactive.

It needs to start taking actions and name and shame entities without a need for a Royal Commission.

      • unfortunately, I have to agree with you…

had an argument with a merchant and then asked their assistant to step in but ended up got turned away from the merchant… and fair trading advised to lodge the issue with the tribunal and seek legal advice. I mean seriously? Can't even get a thing sort out for a product that cost $1000… I would be happy even got the partial back.
How much more should I spend to seek legal for that?

It just like asking the consumer to get lost.
