I bet it comes to: they are the same.
yeah probably, that's kind of the same thought I had. Biggest differentiators were that it had a different logo on it and it did not come with the universal receiver
Biggest difference is that it doesn’t come with a USB adapter. Still works with one afaik, but they don’t include it since a lot of Macs are USB C only.
Any deals on the Mac version? Cheapest I can get is $132.13 with click n collect.
Didn't see much, I think that's roughly what I saw it priced at too
Decent price.
I got one for work a few months ago and have been using it daily since.Pros:
- Battery life
- Key/macro assignment in Logitech Options
- Side scroll wheel is great for heavy excel
- Copy/paste etc between my pc and laptop
- ErgonomicsCons:
- I've come to hate the main scroll wheel! It's nice physically, but I find it lags so much on short 1-5 click scrolls. My ideal mouse would be a G502 with the scroll wheel from the MX Master 3, and Logitech Options (Gaming Software is terrible for macros etc)

I'm not sure what you're using it on, but with the amount of configurability options you have available for this mouse, you really shouldn't be getting any lag. I've got absolutely zero lag on mine via bluetooth. But I've also made some under the hood changes to how it performs in Firefox and Chrome also, so if your lag issues are within a browser, then maybe have a look at changing how it functions within a browser on top of the Logi Options settings.
If you're using the USB dongle, then that could be a factor.
I feel it most in Excel because that's what I'm primarily using at work. Not so much in browsers (I use chrome)
Using the unifying receiver. It's less than 50cm and direct line of sight from the receiver to the mouse.
I've got SmartShift disabled and default mode is ratchet. I'll have a play with settings tomorrow, and see if I can get it better
Agree, No lag in Excel, word or Browsers using the included USB dongle for me.

Have you tried scroll operation in both modes?
(change mode by pressing the button on the top of the mouse in line with the scroll wheel).
I am not sure about lag but I find that one of the modes is much better than the other for me.
I've spent half my day in spreadsheets today and have noticed a small issue with the horizontal scroll, but I don't think I spent much time configuring that. Vertical definitely works as expected.
These feel so heavy. Can't use it after experiencing light weight mice
I felt the same. It's taken some time for me to readjust
damn. i paid like 200 for the grey early last year because i couldnt get it in AU
looks way better on the desk
Cheers was looking to replace my g700s, grey is the perfect colour too!
still expensive, let me know when its under $90
Yup, I am currently using the Master 2S, and am hanging out for under $90 too.
I had the 2S for a year and much prefer the 3 now. Ever so slightly smaller, much better placement of the forward/back buttons and the metal scroll wheel is a huge improvement. Horizontal scroll wheel absolutely destroys the 2S. A worthy upgrade for sure.
Come back in a year then
Is it any good for playing games?
Kogan just emailed saying my delivery wont be shipped until 12 March at the earliest. They did include a $20 voucher however
Just ordered the grey, good price and I don't think it is typically available in Australia. Was looking at $160+delivery ordering from amazon.co.uk recently
There is the mx master for mac in grey here in Aus though. I think it is mostly the same with small differences but couldn't easily confirm what they were
