When is the last day to port in?
Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 28/02/2022.
Bugger it's Port over not New user my last 3 month one is just about expire
Oh I have not even noticed that! I thought it was just the normal new user one. They still attach a new SIM with it. Is it still valid for new users??
I've tried to register as a New user on one of the Port over deals and it regected it they also have done New user one's before as well
So how did you use the voucher then?
@Musiclover: I never I just deleted the voucher and counted it as a 15 loss
buy a $2 amaysim ,, and port :-D
Never thought of it last year as I had a few 30 day one's I'm going to do that with this one though cheer's
But then it costs the same as normal $14.90, while doing more work.
can it really differenciate is port over or new
How long have you been off Kogan?
everytime i use new number
That means nothing to me
I have lots of expired kogan sims from previous deals. You think we could still use them although the are inactive?
Use the SIM? How long ago are you talking?
Well in order to port you need to provide your working number from another network do you?
my meaning is, i buy the 90 days at $12.90 and use it as new customer instead of port in.
Because the title for the sim sound like only work for port in not new customer.
I am in the same boat, just want to use it as a new customer. I think the voucher will not work unless you provide another number you port from.
@Musiclover: Let's try :D
@Kuyaozb: Try it but it never worked for me
@shane2770: awww..thats too bad. Luckily still got the 30days sim for new customer
@Kuyaozb: I am trying to get a refund from kogan for this and have bought a 30 days new customer instead. Hopefully, they will refund. Otherwise - well, only 12.90 lost, not the end of the world.
@Musiclover: luckily only get 1 :D
$10 for 3 months with 20 gig/month seems like a pretty good deal to me
Agreed. I was on the last plan ($13.99/3m/20gb), and it was great. Just ported to GOMO on their 6 month with free 3months, I only paid $10 for the first month, $25 X 2 thereafter. If this Kogan one comes back during the last month of GOMO I'll port back.
The 30-day plan is $3.90 after $1 discount (using same code).
Why wouldn't you get the longer deal
For people who wanna jump back to a long-term plan (like 365-day). Most deals are only for new users so they canβt recharge.
I have plenty of 30 day New user one's to use I just want another 90 day one for a hotspot for a security camera
Can you use it for porting from another Kogan 90 day SIM? Mine is due for expiry on 08/03/2021. I have bought this and now figuring out how to use it. Typical ozbargainer.
PS funny thing in the terms it says "new customers only" and "free sim included" how does it all work with porting?
How do you think porting from a different network works
You activate the Kogan SIM and port your number over.
Simples
So to make it work do I now need to buy some new sim from another operator? Doh!
Well it does say new customers only
And by the sounds of it, a new customer is at least 30 days off Kogan, but don't quote me on that
You could buy it now and activate at some date in the future
@Nicko99: They sometimes do this deal 2 way's either Port in as this deal or New user and just pick a New number as the way I've been doing it for a few years now.
I only want the 90 day Data for a hotspot I don't want to use it for calls
How do you get the extra 10% discount? Is it applied once you've activated?
Just use the code TENTEN comes down to $12.9
Thanks mate
My next Belong recharge is due on 12th February.
Assuming I order one from Kogan and do not get it before the 12th, is there a way to not recharge my Belong sim and still port in or does the line have to be active for port in?
Even if you don't recharge with one provider, I'm pretty sure your number/SIM is still active within a period of like 6 months. You just can't make any calls etc until you re-up
Ok cool. Thanks
Belong will automatically debit your card on file on billing date.
@isdnman: Yeah you'd have to make sure you don't get billed. I'm assuming there isn't a contract
Kogan will cut off your communication after 20 days, which means you have to recharge to keep the number. Your number is reserved for 90 days.
Just be careful with Kogan though. After expiry of the current Kogan mobile you only get calls and text for 20 days after expiry. After the 20 days you do not get calls or texts. That means you cannot port out unless you recharge the plan to get porting OTP messages.
sim sluts unite!
Amaysim don't want no hoes anymore. They've cleaned up their act and don't have bargains.
So what happens after 90 days? Do they automatically debit 12.90 and give me another 90 days with 20gb/mth?
I think you'll be charged non discounted rate with your set-up account bill payment method unless you disable auto recharge. You can disable it on your account portal online.
Yeah just remove your payment option straight away. That's what I do.
why there is no referral link?
can you use your existing number?
That's literally part of the agreement
"When You Port to Kogan Mobile"
worse network!
Works fine for me in the north of Sydney.
About to port out from belong and have 40gigs to give away. Anyone interested?
Pmed! Thanks for the gesture!
Just sent 43gigs. Let me know if it worked. π€ͺ
It did, you're a legend :)
@forrester: ππ you're welcome!!
Thanks Op, my Belong runs out next month so this will suit very well
Technically Belong plans never run out.
I bought together this 60gb and the 40gb with the code, total $16.80
Woolies have the 12GB (6+6) on especial for $8, normal price is $20. Handy for porting in/out.
3 months or 1 month?
1 month
Thank you, very handy reminder. Was just going to buy it without the discount anyway but decided to wait for a few more days for a discount like that.
