  • how is the noise level? I have a vornado but its pretty noisy and too strong for my nursery. wanted the DC premium fan but not after the comments on the new version.

I use one in my toddler's room. It gets noisy about 4, but is pretty quiet below that.

Not being able to turn off the display or stop the control beeps without the remote is a dumb design.

Conversely, actually being able to turn the display off and sound off is a smart design.

I have 5x of these around the house and my whole family love them. The only flaw I think is it would be good if it could rotate down below horizontal in the vertical rotation so you can place it on a higher position and have it pointed towards you when laying in bed. Very good for hot nights because you can leave it on low speed and it is very quiet.

You forget it is on when it is on the lowest setting but it can be turned up to a point that it is quite loud and strong.

Just one small thing - You can't really turn off the LED that displays the temp. You can with the remote, but the led display turns back on when you adjust the fan setting or turn it off etc.

  • How is this compared to $15 Kmart desk fan?

  • I have one and like mine but still don't fully understand how an air circulator is better than a regular fan except it can tilt on 2 axis.

    • The air circulator pushes a lot of air around a room so everyone can get benefit of air flow. It is meant to be pointed away from people and towards a corner. Can be very loud though to work properly as it needs to be on high setting.

      • I didn't realise I am supposed to point towards a corner.

        • Yeah circulators make a column of air rather than a cone. You point it in the ceiling or corner and it creates a breeze around the room.

          • @krisspy: Got it! Normal fan blow you. Circulators blows everything.

            • @Indomietable: I’d say groupies are more prone to blow you than a normal fan

  • Thanks OP - got one for a zwift setup. Remote will be good.

  • Bloody… Just bought this a week ago. Lost a million…

Does anyone know how the 28 degrees price protection work? I could not find any form on their website.

In terms of the fan, it has 8 speeds, under speed 2 is OK. above 3 it started to get noisy. The rotation would produce some noise as well but not disturbing to me.

Would expect this to be quieter but I guess this is the best at the price with AUS local stock..

    • seems like 28 degrees have stopped doing price protection anymore…….. sad story.
