Living Social - Unlimited Quickflix for 3 Months for $25 (DVD, Blu-Ray and Streaming) - 80% off

50

Hi all,

I checked the posting guidelines, and I think this complies. Apologies if not.

This deal is $25 for 3 months of unlimited DVD, Blu-ray, and the newest aspect of their service: Streaming. The same thing costs about $120 full price. The deal is nationwide.

A pretty good gift for someone you haven't yet got something for!

  • I used Quickflix for almost a year and often had to wait almost a week to get my next DVD, I've recently joined Webflicks and so far they have been really good…

    • My experience over 4 weeks has been that I receive one DVD every ~2 days. ie received 14 DVDs so far over 28 calendar days.
I've been interested in DVDs of TV series and movies and most have come from Sydney for delivery to North Sydney overnight.
When they were sent from Melbourne it took an extra day to receive.

    • For me the main use will be the streaming anyway…

  • Any more detail on signing up procedure? I.e. "We take your credit card info and expect you to call a dozen times and screw around 2 months to cancel it otherwise we will just continue to bill you full price"

    • i never had any problems calling them or cancelling…

In fact, when i told them why I was cancelling, they gave me another 6 weeks for free, but unfortunately they didn't improve their turnaround during that period and I left…

    • I had good turnaround times during my experience. The cancelling procedure is done online and worked for me first time a day before the billing event and I was not charged.

      • nope, you can't cancel online, you can only suspend online… when you select the button to cancel, it tells you the number you need to call…

        • My Cancel button comes up with the following:
          "Don’t take off just yet!
We want to wish you a Merry Christmas by making sure you’re not without something to watch this holiday season.
Hang around and receive a huge 50% off unlimited access to more than 50,000 Movies & TV Series for the next two months!
          Continue your Quickflix adventure today!"
$11.48/mth for the next two months.
And then there's a further "Cancel Membership" button that I'm not going to test for another couple of days.

        • Yes, you can now cancel online. I've done it.

          "Your account is now closed

Thanks for being a valued Quickflix member – we're sorry to see you go. Please remember to return all your DVDs within 7 days to avoid charges.

Whatever your reasons for leaving, we'd love to welcome you back at any time. We'll even save all your details, including your last movie Queue, so you can rejoin Quickflix – quick and hassle-free, at any time.

          The Quickflix team"

Referral link removed. Pleae see deal posting guidelines section on Affiliate Links for details.

    • I did see that, but the posting procedure read like it would be 'removed automatically'. Apologies.

      • "like it would be 'removed automatically'"

        moocher is a 'bot'

        • The typo gives it away.

hmm could be a good way to add to my blu-ray rip collection. How many blu-rays can you have at one time? Is it only 1?

  • there is a free 12 months quickflix streaming with bravia TV's purchased between set promotional period but i looked at the website and to me it looks like they only have less than 240 old movies to steam

    • Even on the paid streaming it appears as if there is very little worthwhile viewing, just old stuff. probably will cancel.

  • Given how many offers like this come around for free or $5 mark with the to-keep DVD included, this is pretty crap… sorry!

The only reason I wouldn't neg this is the previous offers didn't include streaming, though Quickflix never offered it previously either…

  • Turn around was good if delivered from local distribution (Brissie). But, most of my selection were sent from Sydney or Melbourne, so averaged 2 DVDs/week.
