Myer TV Discounts - $10 off Every $75 - Combine with Gift Cards Offer

110

Myer have a deal this weekend where they take $10 off every $75 of the purchase price of their TVs. Can only be used on marked prices of TV's and not with catalogue offers.

Seems a meh deal until you combine it with the gift cards $550 per $500 spend deal also ending tomorrow.

Also can be combined with current cashback offers from Samsung.

For example I'm thinking of getting a 60" Samsung LED/LCD UA60D8000 TV:
$3,999.00 RRP and marked price
-$533.20 less $10 for every $75
$65.00 delivery
$3,530.80 Price delivered

$- $300 bonus gift cards for buying $3000 in gift cards
$3,000.00 Myer gift cards
$230.80 cash
$3,230.80 Out of pocket expense

-$200.00 Cashback from Samsung (in form of debit card)

$3,030.80 Net expense

I can't find this TV for $3230.80 delivered anywhere plus Myer will take Amex which JB won't….

I want D550 but I dont think they will do it for $699. With this offer would be a good price.

  • This comes to a maximum of 22% off RRP which isn't a lot. Unless you are going for the latest model which no one will discount you on, I reckon it's actually less hectic to just go to JB or Bing Lee and bargain for a cheap price. You might get more than 22% off with free delivery.

    • Good luck getting 22% off the Samsung D8000 before XMAS.

      After XMAS, who knows…

      • I managed to get the 60d8000 for $3450 with a 2nd pair of glasses from Good Guys 2 weeks ago… I thought that was a decent price. Food for thought for those looking to get the above deal.

        • Twas a good deal - the glasses are worth about $100 each aren't they?

          Had the $200 cashback started?

JB won't budge below $3450 with free delivery for me - but this myer deal smokes that thanks to the gift vouchers…

Don't forget myer one points. Makes this cost under 3k.

Exactly, if you spend $3000, you get $60 back as giftcards

  • $55 for shipping if you are a Myer one member, takes 10 seconds to sign up for a temporary card if not.

  • Sorry Greatwhite, your deal on the Samsung is NOT WORKING at Myer - they are doing the normal pump the price then discount trick on this TV !!

I just tried it (albeit having to wait for stock) and MYER has jacked up the price of the D8000 to $4500 !!!

They had it at $3,999 before this promo started, now they won't honour that price !

Best they would do for me was: $3905 (after the $10 per $75 discount), then I could buy the vouchers for $3500 and receive the $350 extra (ie $3,850) then pay $65.

So total price would be $3565 after stacking both current discounts (at their current JUST INFLATED retail price).

Subtract the value of the debit card and the DEAL IS: $3,365

Even though there is no stock in Adelaide, I've checked the T/C's and all you have to do is ensure you lodge the claim for the $200 with Samsung within 14 days of purchase and submit the serial # when the product is received.

    • Sorry to hear that Jason,

Looks like Myer might be playing some BS tricks. In store (Macquarie Centre, NSW) yesterday (Saturday) the price was $3999 less 10/75 = $3465.80 before delivery.

JB will give you $3450 delivered no sweat, but the bonus saving in this deal is the $550 value per $500 of gift vouchers.

Perhaps someone from Myer read this thread and changed their prices upward last night??

  • Call Peter at Myer Sydney City - bought one over the phone with no hassles…

  • Thanks for the reply GreatWhite, JB will do it for $3300 without any BS as long as I wait until 20th Jan for it, I think I'll just do that.
