Same price at good guys and officeworks.

I'm debating between this and a chinese tab like the Alldocube play 20/30/40. Hard call to make.

    • Ha. Same problem. Additional features Vs potential build quality

    • $50 off with AfterPay (Minimum $200 Spend) @ Target (Excludes Gaming/Clearance/Gift Cards)

Apparently the above deal works with any payment method so should make it $279 at Target after applying the coupon.

I bought the iplay 30 a few weeks ago on banggood for $230.00 and its great value for money

Don't do it. Save up and buy a better branded one which supports software updates. I bought Chuwi hi10 pro about 2 years ago and it has slowed down a lot. Can't even install basic apps like Netflix/Kayo, even .apk files. Stop "buyingcrap"

    • I bought an alldocube play 20 pro.It keeps resetting.

      Get the Samsung.

I hope it's not like the Galaxy tab A 2019, which I hate how slow and unresponsive it is

  • Any good deal for tqb s6 lite?

Is there a better tablet under $500? Preferably Android so folks can use YouTube vanced

  • Had heaps of galaxy tabs throughout the years and habe gone back to ipad. Samsung are just slow and clunky to use. Now that i can use the sandisk usb to connect to ipad, i can watch any movie via usb which was the only reason i went for samsung orignally.

    • Is that only Sandisk usb or you can watch from any usb? Thanks

iPads support pretty much any USB storage device now. It can be an SD card reader, a portable hdd, or a portable SSD. You just need the right dongle or adapters.

  • is this a good upgrade from the Samsung galaxy tab s1?

Been looking for a good upgrade for my mom for the past year!

  • Do these tabs allow you to say "ok Google" to activate assistant? Looking for some tabs to wall mount for home automation.

  • got the 64GB Version price matched at officeworks from amazon US for 227 yesterday.

i gotta say, i'm pretty disappointed how small these are (screensize) - that said i am coming from a HP Slate 12, my daughter wanted to buy one as well, so might just give this one to her, given i haven't used it yet and wait for one with a larger screen.

    • Do you have a link to that price on Amazon US? Might give the price match a shot.

        yeah sure:

        https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsung-Electronics-Tablet-10-4-Wi…

works out at $331.56+post ($14.31) = $345.87, where as officeworks sell the 64GB version for 347, so just under the price beat price, meaning, its basically a 5% discount. (ends up being about 227 after discount)

given i dont really use that much storage, it wouldnt have been worthwhile spending 50 dollars more on the 64GB version, but for 30 bux more i thought why not.
(see my below post about office works now price matching grey imports/OS vendors with AU websites)

          You mean $327 after discount?

I was doing the maths thinking hey that's a good discount ;)

        • another option could be going to TGG/HN and price match officeworks. Then use 5% discounted eGC to get a similar price.

Thanks for the heads up on this! The Amazon US price didn't show up with freight when I checked the app and after a couple of goes got OW to price beat the $331.56 in store for the 64GB version down to $313 if anyone else wants to try. Would recommend the 64GB as I've just loaded my usual apps and am already at almost 20GB used.

          • @okeydokey33: you had to go to different stores? you said after a couple of goes?

            • @wisc: They said no when I tried on the phone because the code was slightly different. Thought I'd try a store in person who also said no at first because it was coming from US but agreed to price beat after checking further and a bit of a chat.

    • Didn't even know they do price match with Amazon US, you are lucky .

argh, i just posted a long post about it. but must have copied the google link which had some extra info in it. >:| there should be an edit post so i can fix the link rather than writing it all out again. (an only you can see this post perhaps)

note it was amazon US though the AU site, i think that makes a difference…

but yeah, i may have gotten lucky.

        that said, see this link…

and given it was via amazon US on the AU Website, it might be allowed.

        • Ok, thank you.

  • Still waiting S7 :(

  • This or Chromebook?

    • depends on what you want to do with it.

      • Netflix
        Emails
        Web browse
        Word processing

        • word processing probably the chromebook, that said, you can get a decent keyboard mouse for the samsungs… but chromebook is more set up for it.

the others would be fine on the tab, highly recommend the tab for movies and browsing stuff though.

Any recommendations on a good cover for this, the official Samsung one seems a bit steep.

  • This or lenovo smart tab with google assistant ( the one with a built-in stand)?

  • Hi
When I try AMAZON, the price is coming up as $349.00
Is there a code I need to put to get $297?

    Thank you

    • sorry my bad this was in January
