First post so please be kind. I've been using the Kensington trackball (wired) version for about 6 years now due to carpel tunnel and found it to be amazing. Been looking out for the wireless version for a while now and finally found a drop in price to below $100. Considering the prices for these (incl. all electronics) were increased during covid, this is a great price.

I don't know of this comment is in very good taste considering the reason OP uses it.
The skin flakes and grime are a great taste!
Clearly I am being downvoted by radical vegetarians!
I’ve used a trackball for 20 years after beginning to develop wrist pain using a mouse for too long.
None since. Recommend, although I prefer the Logitech marble mouse.
It takes about two days to get used to it.Is this the one you're referring to?
https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-m…This wired one is what I use:
https://www.pcbyte.com.au/store/product/logitech-trackman-ma…Thanks. You rate it huh?
@JoeRogan: This is the third I have bought, one wore out, and one at work.
Only drawback is no scroll wheel.
Worth trying if you are getting any wrist/forearm discomfort.@mskeggs: Yes, that was my next question… no scroll wheel.
That could be a deal breaker for me.@mskeggs: I'm pretty sure that the 3rd or 4th button acts as a scroll lock or something - you would configure it from the settings.
You click one of the buttons, then the trackball acts as a scroll wheel (both vertical and horizontal). Click the button again, then you are back to trackball mode.
It's been a while since I've used a trackball, but that's how I remember it to work.
EDIT
I took a closer look at the description. .. this unit has a scroll ring around the trackball to do the scrolling.
Oh tempting price to try it out currently swapping between thumb (ergo) and finger (deft pro) to control my rsi. Always wanted to try the Kensington.
Though waiting to see the avocado55 trackball too.
I am using my Logitech mx ergo. After switching to a standing desk the normal mouse isn't great for long-term use. I am thinking about getting a second one for work too.
The back and forward buttons are awkward as hell (that is my only complaint). No idea about this one, but I do love my trackball.
Missile Command or Centipede? 🖲️
I've been getting lots of pain in my wrist and it's highly to be carpal tunnel symtoms - I've been using the Oyster mouse which helps at times but still getting wrist pains.. is this one better?
Unfortunately, the price has been hiked up again, but I have definitely found this to be useful for my carpel (YMMV). I'm on the computer at least 7 hours a day and using a normal mouse had become too painful to bear. I've been using the wired one for ages and it has definitely helped ease the pain. It does take a while to get used to but once you get a hang of it, it becomes second nature as you're using less of the wrist movement and more of the finger movements on the ball.
in the end I got the KENSINGTON(R) Pro Fit Wireless Vertical Trackball, Black, K75370WW. at 43% off, I need something I can carry around with the ball not falling out and more compact. there are few other models discounted.
