This is a great head-torch and this is a good entry price,
not as cheap as the 11/11 sales but good enough to get this torch, then go camping.

The only thing to worry about this item, is the 'slow shipping', it could take 3 weeks or it could take 2-months.

Hey dude, don't forget the store in title!

      ah !
      fix'd.

  • How much was is on 11.11 sale

    • i think it was about AU$ 71 , at the 11/11/2020 sales

      • or $72

  • oh man it does red, that would be so nice to use working in darker spaces like an attic or even out camping.

that's exactly the reason why i bought the HC65, ie. for that 'red light'.
it was either HC65 or a comparable Fenix head-torch (i forget the model), but the 'red light' was the decision-maker.

i had a Fenix head-torch for almost 9 years and i really loved it.
it had the red light and fantastic use in hostels, inside tents, … basically anywhere not to disturb people and/or use low battery.

Back then, for AU$ 40 (AU$ was stronger then), i could get such a good product with an 'unknown' brand - Fenix.
( people would recommend Petzl, Black Diamond, etc… but the Fenix was just 'cheap' and great )

then, Nitecore came along to the picture, and after owning several products, e.g. keyring torch, TIP, TIP SE … this HC65 was chosen, because of the red-light function.
that was enough to tip me over, even though i knew that these new Nitecore products changed the UI with single switch ( but multiple-depth clickings )

No usb-c in 2021, no deal

    • With all the micro USBs over the years you would have heaps of micro USB cables laying around.

      • no one wants to carry around an additional cable just to charge one device if they can avoid it especially when traveling or outdoors

        • it does not have to be an extra cable,
but one of those cables with 2 x connectors.

it's not ideal, but sometimes carrying both connectors, end up saving other people too (and you win new 'friends' :-P )

    • The torch has been around since early 2018

      • yes, but usually to buy it was AU$ 100+

the price is dropping more now, and that's the deal, for a 1000-lumen head-torch that is built well.

there are other decent brands, eg. ZebraLight, but no 'red light' option on the head-torch.

        • I was replying to old mate whining about lack of USB-C in 2021.

    • agree.

maybe USB-C makes the design fatter, if you saw where the USB socket actually is.

  • Mines coming up as AU $86.35 after tax is added.
