  • Not bad with the HDMI switching. Sherwood make pretty solid low-end gear.

  • Good price, $10 cheaper than a refurb from JungleJumble and half the price of JB new.

    • Erm, the link to JB you posted says $262 - hardly half price.

      • Sorry, 25.1% cheaper. ;) Amazon will send it for a bit cheaper than that. I think it was quoting me $245. Not sure if these receivers are 240/120v switchable though.

        • Ive been meaning to ask as it's come up a few times. I was under the impression Amazon wouldn't ship electronics to Australia. Have they changed their policy?

        • It's luck of the draw. You have to go all the way to checkout. In this case, they do send it to Australia. I am finding more and more items being able to be sent here. Probably better to buy electronics from Amazon UK, Spain, etc as they have the same voltage as here. They don't have this receiver on those sites though.

        • In the past most receivers I have looked at from the US have only been 110v, not dual voltage. Things may have changed since.

  • good for the price.

  • Here is the RD-6505 in Amazon, but looks different from the pictures

    anyone bought from 2nds before?

    • they seem like a good seller, they have a chain of shops on the east coast…

  • +1

    Title is slightly misleading.

    Item is $179 + postage.

    Postcodes:
    2000 = $10
    3000 = $20
    6000 = $39.

    As I'm in WA - total cost of item delivered is $218

    For $44 extra, I can drop into JB for a new one… and most likely haggle the price down.

    Not really a deal IMO seeing as the product is a second but thanks to the OP all the same for drawing my attention to the site.

  • anyone knows a receiver being able to decode multi-channel AAC audio, which is widely used in MKV files, my media player can only down-mix the multi-channel AAC to stereo

  • I got a S750 Creative which the subwoofer/amp died. Does it work if I buy 1 of these and hook it up to pc, then hook up the satellite speakers to this receiver?

    Thanks!
