Purchased x60 twice all stock backorder and refund

  • Eero or the TP Link M5?

    • +3

A benefit of the Deco is that it supports the IPoE and PPPoE protocols and VLAN 802.1q. That means it's compatible with all ISPs as a router replacement.

eero only supports the IPoE protocol. Who is your ISP?

        Thanks for this info twix.

  • Code doesn't work for the deco x60? Says invalid?

    • I'm also getting invalid for the X60.

      Working again.

  • Is this the next best alternative to those mw3 from tenga?

    • +2

For the price yeah and the M5 does WPA2-AES.

*tenda - Tenga make other things that are for rooting instead of routing

        :)

      • +1

        Tenga has gained root access.

@chillipaste If you're happy with the 100mbit port of the mw3, this is also an option if you want to keep price as low as possible https://www.wireless1.com.au/tp-link-deco-e4-2-pack-ac1200-d…

I had my hopes up on the M5 - low enough to pull the trigger, but missed that free shipping only applies over $250… $13 shipping to metro melb tips it in to unattractive territory for me, will hang out for better… Fair deal tho, thanks

damn, bought a Deco M5 2-pack for $155 just a couple weeks ago.
My first and only mesh system so can't compare to others, but it was really really easy to install and setup. Hasn't missed a beat since day 1.

Also, don't forget that if you purchase the Deco, you can apply for a free webcam: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/588896

  • Bought the M5 pack last year and it’s working great. Need to buy a new set for my new home.
Is there much difference / worth the money to get one of the Deco products that has Wifi6??

    • +2
      1. Is your internet faster than 100Mbps?
      2. Do you have a phone, PC and so on with Wi-Fi 6?
      3. Do you transfer files often over your home network?

      You can mix & match Wi-Fi 5 & Wi-Fi 6 Deco products

        No
        No
        No

Thanks! You’ve answered my question perfectly.

        • Save your pennies and wait a few years before upgrading.

    • I bought 2 2nd Ruckus r600 with pretty cheap price ($30 each) and their mesh works really well. I don't look at any consumer products after using Ruckus :D

  • Bit new to these mesh systems. Do they degrade speeds due to the split or do you get full throughput? My in laws are on 25/5 NBN but I wouldn't want them bottlenecked by this if they ever wanted to upgrade their speeds in the future.

    Any help much appreciated.

    • +1

I found they get full or close to full throughput in most cases. They don't lose anywhere near as much speed as the old school wifi extenders. Deco M5 & X60 performs well even on Gigabit NBN.

    • +1

These mesh networks will handoff the 'hops' to a separate backhaul link, so while it does need to transmit separately, it can do it somewhat simultaneously so speeds aren't strictly halved like the old school repeaters were.

Even at 100mbit (10mb/s) some pretty average wifi should be able to keep up without too much difficulty.

  • M5 OOS….

    • Back in Stock

  • Bought one thank you. How do we claim the security cam?

  • I tried the code on M5 and X60 and all I get is The coupon code "BOXING" is not valid.

    • Hi Beki,

Thanks for letting us know. It should be fixed now.

      Happy new year!!

      • Any chance of the Dream Machine coming back in stock? I saw the eBay store is still selling it but is out of stock online.

        https://www.wireless1.com.au/ubiquiti-udm-unifi-dream-machin…

        • It should be back in stock now. =)

      • Hi,
        Any information about delivery dates…???

        Thanks

      • Are you guys back?

Have send email regarding my order and no reply.

        Order was placed 26 Dec.

i doubted the deco m5 but my mate convinced me to pick it up. got it for $182 from Good guys commercial. great little product. i was getting 5 down 1 up in the living room downstairs and now i get 80 down 30 up. router is in my room on the other side of the house.

  • I currently have the m5 but can give it away to my brother. I’m torn deciding between the deco m9 and the deco x60. Any suggestions?

Ps.: I have access to tgg commercial if that makes any difference.

    • Depends entirely on what speeds you need. I've just set up a house for two parents + 3 kids and they're doing great on the M5 units. If you're a large family with a few older kids that have their own screens that stream high quality video from a local NAS, then yeah maybe the M9/AX is needed, but so much these days is internet bound (netflix, etc) so your WLAN only really needs to keep up with your WAN! (plus some overhead for local traffic)

      • Thanks mate. I felt the same about diminishing returns at this stage, anything greater doesn’t necessarily mean better performance.

Just wanted to make sure I knew what functionality I was missing out on.

  • Dammit… M5 OOS again!

    • It says in stock.

  • No information about the delivery dates? I bought M9 3 pack…no updates about the delivery…!!!!

For those still after the 3 pack m5, try bunnings. I got a set last week for $199. Tag says $245 but scans up as $199

      reciept proof ?

  • Says in stock, but code no longer works (at least for the Deco M5)

  • Discount code is not working for the UniFi Dream Machine

  • Is it the Deco M5 code still working (BOXING)?

When I put Boxing code is said invaild?

    Anyone help?
