Seems like a pretty good offer from ASOS although the shipping is still expensive unless you spend $100 and then it’s free.

Terms & Conditions

Enter code GIMME2021 at checkout before 7pm AEDT on 2 January 2020. Multiple use per customer up to a maximum pre-discount spend of $990 per order. Minimum spend $40. Valid on items purchased in AUD only. Can't be used with other promo codes. Not valid on gift vouchers, delivery charges or ASOS Marketplace. Minimum-spend threshold applies to value of order when you order and when you return any items. If your returns take the revised order below the minimum-spend threshold for the code used, you'll lose the benefit of the discount i.e. items kept revert to full price and your refund will be adjusted accordingly. This means you may not get the same value back when refunded. Only valid on orders delivered to Australia, Norfolk Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands and Christmas Island. Selected marked products excluded from promo.

Asos's website gets worse and worse each time I use it. It used to be so easy to sort through the good stuff on sale and now it's like pulling teeth to find what you want.

    • I actually like the interface. Easy to sort and categorise the style/gender etc

  • +9

I remember their free shipping was minimum $35 or so. Now it's $100+… yikes

    • Just buy something else to get over $100, then return it. Returns are free.

      • Now that's a loophole worth taking advantage of!

what about that term and condition "If your returns take the revised order below the minimum-spend threshold for the code used, you'll lose the benefit of the discount i.e. items kept revert to full price and your refund will be adjusted accordingly"…?

They've started making adjustments to counteract people who constantly try scam businesses on purpose.

That's what happens when you abuse businesses for too long, the majority of people do the right thing and therefore it doesn't affect their business overall.

        • +4

That only applies to the $40 minimum spend. e.g. Total spent = $50 (exc discount and shipping) - so total with discount = $39.50 (exc shipping). You return an item that puts your new total spent to be under $40 (exc discount and shipping), so you will no longer be eligible for the 21% discount - so your refund will reflect that and whatever items you keep will now be excluding discount.

Returns are only free if you are a member. Otherwise its around $12.

      • I didn't know that? They've really gone hard!

They've sent people warnings for returning too often, now their charging?
I spose online stores are realising they have some meat now, and we'll end up paying shipping, returns which personally deter me from online shopping esp clothing.

You also lose any Cashback, if you even return 1 item.

      • +1

Returns are definitely still free. Premium members get courier pickup returns for free.

        • Hypothetically if you ordered e.g. 130 worth of two items to secure the free shipping and return one of them e.g. $30, would the refund be the price of the item or would it be the price of the item minus the shipping e.g. $30 - 12.95 or $17?

    • 100+ minimum for postage seems fair. I know a business that does free shipping from the UK with no minimum spend. I feel bad everytime i spend 20-30$, so try to spend at least $50+

    • Express shipping used to be free over $200 as well. Now it's $20 regardless of how much you spend.

    Thanks for sharing OP.

Don’t forget to stack with cashback. I know TA has added the GIMME2021 code so it can be stacked with the Cashrewards standard 5% back at ASOS.

Ughh. Asos has become has become as cringey as Boohooman. Nothing but puncy chav outfits..

Yeah, I have to admit other than the jacket here & there they don't offer many exciting brands anymore.

You may as well shop at Target, H&M and Zara.

    • Directions to the retailer for manly men with guts n shit please… ;-P

See, there are jobs for out of shape male models. I hope they sell activewear with suitable gut / love handle room, spanx too!

  • I don't think all their Adidas gear is legit.. The t-shirts I bought from there seem very thin on the cotton and feels rough on the skin.

    It's prob the rejected clothing
