this is 1080p vs xiaomi 2k?
Significantly different resolution for a start.
Xiaomi
Xiaomi is curved, too, which some say is better at this width.
2560 x 1080, hell no
Love mine.
really that bad? even just for multitasking for work? not playing game or anything intense, currently using same one in 29 inch, very convenience, just slightly smaller when i need dual screen (side by side) , so thinking to upgrade to this 34 inch
Too low-res for such a large screen.
It's subjective, I use a regular 34" @ 1080p and that sort of pixel density doesn't seem blocky at all to me, gaming or regular desktop usage.
That said, what's the difference between that and https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-29-curved-219-ultrawide-1… for $100 less, or https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-34-wqhd-219-ultrawide-75h… at the same price but higher resolution?
good point, just not too sure about Kogan brand, otherwise, will be better
For me the pixels are noticeably blocky on 1080p past the 30 inch mark. I would go with 1440p past 30 inch.
I don’t get all the fuss with don’t but it 1080 is too low res. It’s a 27” monitor with a bit more on the side. As seen here. IMO it’s not bad as long as you aren’t sitting too close, my 27” 1920x1080 panel looked fine.
People here are misunderstanding the inch measurements on ultrawide. They think this is a 34" inch monitor but as you say it's really just a 27-28" with extra side space.
Pixel density is fine, people with work or low/med gaming specs will appreciate the 1080p resolution for performance.
WFHD? Work From Home Display? /s
Wide full HD.
Personally I have a 32" 1440P monitor and sometimes even find that slightly pixelated.
either way imo i would highly avoid because of the resolution.
Unless if using this from a far.
r/whoosh
27" at FHD 1080p has been good enough for me for the past 5+ years but it might be a different story with 34", each to their own perhaps.
I am using a 34 WFHD LG monitor right now and love how I can have millions of tabs open and can see them. No problems with 1080 here. Watching movies at cinematic ratio at full screen (no black bars) on prime video is awesome too.
Back in stock. Available now
The Xiaomi display basically destroy the budget ultra wide market. Especially when there is AU warranty now, I see no reason buying anything else. Unless you go up the price range for the premium ones.
Don't know how this compares in quality but it is a 4K monitor at the suitable size of 32 inches, perfect size for 4k @$459 ($10 postage)
Samsung UJ590 31.5" VA 4ms 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor
https://www.pcbyte.com.au/store/product/samsung-uj590-31-5-v…edit: currently owning a LG 4K 27incher, tempting too upgrade, though mine and this dare I say are budget 4K monitors though at affordable budget prices too, the Samsung having more features I like like picture by picture and picture in picture
