Cheapest I have seen this, but I suspect it will be the Chinese version as I can't see anything specifying otherwise… Only reason why I am hesitant to pull the trigger on this.

    The poor whale…

I’m not happy with an appliance that shares my toileting habits with the CCP

    • Why? You just share the stinkiness anyway right? :)

      • They'll wait til everyone's on the crapper, then attack, or at least tell their courier to knock :-)

        • Nah, they'll send out a phone notification: "your crapper required urgent attention" and then they'll attack.

Its how they'll catch you with your pants down. Touche China. Well played.

    • They want to know when you poo how you poo 🤣

      weekly report:
congrats comrade! you ranked #1 for poo volume of 5.2 L among your 22 toilet seat friends in the last week!

      • Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha

  • Comes up with an extra $30 at checkout for GST?

    • +1

Use the app it's bugged to include gst

  • what if they block my shit and start putting heavy tax before they'll open??

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to get this battery powered? My bathroom is very small and the electrician told me he couldn't install a power point on the other side due to the proximity to the bath and shower.

    • -1

… you want to keep batteries in the toilet?

  • Trying to find a bidet seat for a smaller toilet my bowl seems to be too small for these. It's roughly 45 cms. Any ideas?

    • my bowl seems to be too small for these

I don't understand for a western country like Australia why they are so small?

    • Had that problem with my first toilet after buying one of these. Rental, so I just waited…

Got a house, toilet seat was fine - but it was still compact, and the cistern was far too close to the seat to install this.

So I installed a new toilet, after carefully measuring everything.

      So yeah, definitely a nightmare.
I doubt the market is big enough in Australia for any or many non standard size bidet seats; and from what I've seen in China there isn't as much variation from standard sizing (unless it's a squat toilet)

      • That's where I'm at lol, Partner has actual OCD and this did not fly. Solution was to buy a new toilet or new seat. Meanwhile bidet is sitting there taunting me..

What toilet did you install? Any tips?

        • New toilet was a nightmare too. Wanted a Caroma one that seemed nice, but ended up spending 4 hours getting dicked around by Bunnings not keeping track of their stock.

So after the third store didn't have the stock they claimed, I ended up measuring one 10 minutes before they shut and bought it. In my hurry I got a S-trap toilet when I needed a P-trap.

Can't recall the toilet off the top of my head - however despite it looking nice and the sizing being right, I don't recommend the toilet. The flushing mechanism is pretty shitty, and it often only flushes as long as you press the button.

Best advice I can give you is that 'most' toilets that don't mention anything specific about the size are pretty standard. Caroma seemed to have the right size for all models that aren't classified compact.
If the standard cheap replacement seats at Bunnings fit, it should be pretty good.

        • The toilet I wanted was the Coroma Luna Clearflush. Pretty common toilet at Bunnings, and they usually have a display model.
If you can get the sizing from that you'll be set.

          That's the link.

For about $340 you can get the same size as that one, without the rimless design.

I think this one is the one I got

  • Can anyone comment on the difference between the AU and CN models? Do I need extra fittings? Anything else to consider? Thanks!

    • Plug might be different.
I've seen stories of tradesmen not installing these because the Chinese ones don't have the Australian standards sticker.

I got the Chinese one, which came with the upside down but still fitting in Australian sockets socket.
I can't read the labels on the buttons (they sent a translated sticker, but the colour was a little off)

Other than the text, pretty sure it's the same. Three AU model likely has the accreditation

  • Are these the ones that fail shortly after 2 years?
