That annual fee kills it for me.

It's not great but if you transfer over 10k then you will effectively be paying just around 1% interest p/a for up to 36 months, right? Is there any better alternatives?

      • you will effectively be paying just around 1% interest p/a

Kind of. Depends on how much the person is paying off over that 12 months, of course. The more they pay off, the higher the effective annual percentage rate.

But your point stands. It does look pretty competitive IMHO, especially as it's for up to three years and there is no minimum spend in the first year.

        • Yep that's what I was referring to. I imagine a person who have a high credit limit (ie 30k) can use 25k to buy a car or something before Jan21 and transfer it to this one, effectively paying .4% interest over 3years (terms and conditions notwithstanding).

          • @ioga: No chance of that based on my experience - got accepted with $7.5k limit. I have superb credit and a high salary.

            Waste of time.

          • @ioga: @ioga Care to explain how one could do that ? It kinda matches my situation.

  • If you did the balance transfer, do you lose the 110 days interest free purchases?

    • Transferring a balance does not automatically disqualify you from the interest-free period. You'll be eligible for up to 110 days interest-free on purchases when you meet the criteria below.

Pay by the due date shown in the humm90 Account Statement all:
      - (a) overdue amounts from previous Statement Periods;
      - (b) Transactions or fees for which the Interest Free Period expired in that or previous Statement Periods;
      - (c) interest or other charges debited to the humm90 Account during that or previous Statement Periods;
      - (d) any adjustments made to your account; and
      - (e) any Instalment Repayments due during that Statement Period (if any).

This is from clause 4.4 of the Conditions of Use and Credit Guide

the annual fee is an (mod edited) to me, no thanks

  • latitude finance card has been better to me than the offer here :(
9 months is a sneaky way to extract a manual application to apply for the service at % purchase obviously difficult to determine throughout the application process.

my Latitude is automatically separated to the 6 months (~180 days) interest free effortlessly

If however you like any of the 0% longterm 0% interest retailers you may like the card
    Humm 90 shop-interest-free

    • Did you get their survey recently?
Based on the questions they asked I suspect they are making changes to their cards.

Similar to the offer here from the survey questions :(

Hopeless - got offered a tiny credit limit, don't waste your time.

  • Flexirent owns Humm
    Avoid at all costs.

    High interest rates
Fees and charges hidden in the terms and conditions

Balance transfer offer might be decent but not worth it to be stuck dealing with flexirent for anything.

      Some history for you:

      • FlexiRent don't own Humm (and they never did) but also, they don't exist anymore
      • FlexiRent was a product within FlexiGroup and FlexiGroup has now been rebranded as Humm Group
      • This means Humm Group owns Humm
      • And the Humm products are vastly different from FlexiRent

        Changed their name
        Kept their policies.
        My comment stands.

        By the way.
Flexigroup is still flexigroup and has not changed their name.
Literally says it at bottom of evey humm page

“is a subsidiary of FlexiGroup Limited”

      • So looks like what jimbobaus said, just with some corporare sorcery to mask it?

      • Good to know! I was wondering what happened with Skye.

Depend on what you're looking for.

Most of credit card with benefit will have annual fee, there will be late payment fee and dishonour fee. There will be interest anyway for any credit card if not paid on time.

If you're thinking to spend a lot of money during Christmas, use your other credit card to get point and do balance transfer to this card. So you will have point on the other card and instalment payment over 3 years. Other credit card usually will have 2% balance transfer and only 80% so use it for big ticket item.

as mentioned above, it's good if you're thinking to buy car using your credit card and it's cheaper than using personal loan. But again alot of people, didn't get credit limit that they want.

      • Thanks for insight :)

  • that explains things that they have rebranded since i got an unexpected email from humm saying my bundll account was suspended and asking for a selfie with id before they could lift it. wish they increase the 1k limit as im putting through thousands.

  • Didn't find balance transfer request anywhere in application process, mobile app, logged into website, or anywhere on their public website

    Anyone happen to know?

    • -1

      Hey there,
The balance transfer request is available once you're approved. Upon approval you're issued a Customer ID, at which point you can log-in online or through the app and request the balance transfer. Keep in mind that for this promotion you have to make the request within 30 days of approval.

      • i would need something more specific first experience than that.

Account is approve, id issued, account logged in and balances etc displayed but no balance transfer icons links or faqs as would be expected.

thanks for the 30 days advice t does relieve any rush anxiety
I'll try again later in the week

        • Thanks for letting us know! If it doesn't show up, please give humm a call at 1300 115 533

          • @findercomau: note they actually send a separate application few days later to initiate a Transfer

            Thanks

      • I'd been approved by humm90 online and received a card.

But they wouldn't honour the 36-month interest free balance transfer?!?

They said I had to cancel may card/account and re-apply again through Finder directly to get that 36-month deal?!?

        So I've cancelled.

Looking to reapply again, which probably won't look great on my credit report, assuming humm90 lodge an inquiry every time they have an application?

Will it be approved? Details are all the same.

And what is the direct link on Finder for the application?

        Thanks.

        • That's crap. Yes it will be a black mark on your credit report.

If you don't mind, what limit did you get, out of interest?

          • @gadgetguy: 20K approved.

Still no response from the Store Repfindercomau here?!?!?

            @findercomau

            Disappointing.

  • Where's the link application for the 36 month interest free now?

    Log onto Finder, no link?!?!?
