But key points were
1) promotion only till 5:01 pm 17th December 2020 (US ET), only posting now as I've noticed deal not being mentioned as of yet since start of promotion on 7th December.
2) No mention of how much funding you need to deposit for the free Airbnb stock, someone I know who just joined under this promotion only deposited $34 USD and got their free GoPro Stock, so finger cross that they get their Airbnb stock at a later date.
3) It seems that they will email you at a later date to tell you how to claim your free stock of Airbnb, but you'll need to show proof that you are a Airbnb host or a user of Airbnb, so may need like a receipt of one of your stays at an accommodation.

      Because you paid $5 for the tax form and $2 FX transaction fee. The rate is on-the-spot and pretty much on par with MC and VISA.

    The fx isn't great, but i went for it. TBH I would rather somthing like Spaceship with a small allocation into ASX high risk stocks like ARR. ARR is a exploration company with huge upside in the next 12 months

          Yeah, I ended up using XE. I found another page on their site that went into more details. They are basically saying you must send the money yourself in your own name, not in the name of another person or company etc. I assume it is to protect against fraud.

      If you are even half serious about trading - avoid Stake. The fees to transfer money in and out are extreme. I trade quite a bit and it is a 1% saving for me to use IBKR plus they have many more stocks, options, etc. If you are into trading, the 1% saving is massive. The learning curve with IBKR can be steep at first though and data is slightly delayed.

      As a small-time passive investor, I use Stake, eToro, and NabTrade. I like the ease of use that Stake and eToro brings. IBKR was waaaayy too complicated for me and its phone app wasn't a great experience. Also, IBKR is more for day traders and if you're not logged in or trading on a regular basis, I believe they hit you with fees. Stake and eToro fees are about the same (Stake being a fraction higher), but I don't mind leaving chunks of my money at a time in USD and dollar cost averaging into US companies (mainly TSLA). eToro is a bit more complex (community-based and can follow others' trades, which I don't recommend) but I use it in the same strategy as Stake. NabTrade is for when I want to deposit larger chunks when there's a buying opportunity as I can move money more quickly with peace of mind.

      I don't mind the fees on these platforms. I think that if you're in the mindset that your money is going to grow over time without touching it, what is an extra 0.xx% initially? But if you're a gambler, then good luck to you!

    Says add funds within 24hrs signing up I was late however several hours later after they manually confirm identify it says in email to add funds within 24hrs in the confirmation going by that I should still get free stock.. when did everyone else get the stock?

      It’s been a while since I last signed up but if you did fund it within 24 hours try checking the app and see if you can spin the wheel for a free stock. If not try emailing for a request for free stock.

      If you do sign up on stake and deposit, under your account you can load up the W-8Ben form for reference or to use. Not sure if you can use for other American business or not.

          Not sure if you have to show this to your accountant or not. I think you have to pay for it every 3 years to continue trading internationally, just from what I heard.

      And $9 USD to deposit/open an account. So total fees of $14 USD to deposit/withdraw to $8USD in GoPro (worst case) and $75 USD in AirBNB (assuming no massive crash) so you should see a net gain of $69USD.

      If you fund via credit card or bank transfer (POLI) the funds won't reach the account on time but stake will register straight away that you funded and can claim your free stock + airbnb, can confirm as I got someone else to join.
