Aparently, it's due to the USB C port being heavier compared to micro USB? But who knows
The difference between them would account for at most 2-5g. There is no excuse in 2020 for using Micro over Type C. They are clearly doing it to upsell the next model in a year or two as they have done with the G502 lightspeed.
A 5g increase is an 8% increase in weight, for a product competing on every gram it makes sense
@Jolakot: And the G502? Which also uses Micro and isn't aiming to be the lightest. Logitech dropped the ball here.
The reality is that it's probably more like 1-2g max anyway but I don't have exact weight. The mouse weighs less than the 63g quoted and I hardly think they needed to worry about a few grams at the cost of using an obsolete port. The Glorious Model O for instance has Type C and is under 70g.
For clarity, I am not being critical of the mouse, it has the potential to be best in class, but the port choice is horrible, especially considering price range.

Supposedly that was fixed from the Shroud version of the G Pro Wireless onwards.
Logitech have been using Omron 20m switches since the Shroud version, the double clicking issues were a problem on the Omron 50m.

I jumped on this but now sort of worried after reading tonnes of negative feedback about shipping times from this mob. Might just leave it anyway as I’ll be able to sell it if it does ever come.
