Browsing around looking for a 75inch TV bumped into this one at Myer.
Then cheapest I could find was $4720 @ Appliance Central.
Use the 5% egiftcards or 6% vouchers potentially bringing it approximately $3561 to $3599.

I agree. Its just that the price is pretty good to pass. A 75inch 4k costs almost that much. So, seems like an easy decision.
Comparing to an OLED is a different question though.
I’d pass and go the OLED
Good choice. I am putting up a deal for Sony OLED soon.
Given that there's literally no 8K content, and any 4K and 1080p content might get forced upscaled, not sure I understand such a decision. I'd rather invest the same amount of money in a top of the line 65" OLED.
Personally haven't actually looked at these because I have no interest in them, but I imagine they have smaller, tighter pixel array so have less of a screen door effect, enabling you to sit closer.
I think there are few satellite channels like NHK 8k but I am not sure whether we are in the foot print of any of those.
Might sound silly, but I reckon my ideal TV would be a 6K 85 inch OLED. Unfortunately, there is no such thing. But, hey, there is no way I can afford a 75/ 77 inch OLED, let alone an 85. Sigh.
Why 6K..? Althought it wouldnt matter hugely at that pixel size keeping the ratio of your content in line with the ratio of the panel generally gives the best image… thats why they go 1080p -> 4k -> 8k
good price, but no idea why anyone would want a 8k TV at this point.
Even 4K is somewhat limited in terms of content
