Good! Everyone gets one instead of a cafe ordering the lot!

Why would anyone import water from italy?

    • +3

It was my favourite mineral water when I lived in Europe but it saddens me to see boxes of water shipped to the other side of the world. It takes months on a container ship to get here and a typical family would consume this within a week or two. What’s left is a nice set of plastic bottles, that may or may not get recycled. Not sure why people who are considerate about our environment would buy this?

Why is buying water even a deal.

If only restaurants charged this price too - the first time I ordered Pelligrino I was slapped with a $7.50 and always thought it was a luxury item. Went around school the next day and told my mates I drank the finest water x soda combination at a hotel. Later on, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on sale for $2 at local Woolies. To be 16 again lol.

This comment doesn't really relate to the post, so I'll give you all an upvote for listening to something I've kept on my chest for a while.

If only there was a cheap way to make glass bottles……

Maybe one day society will figure it out, then we can all live like Roman Emperors!

Can’t seem to find the BB date. Anyone know?

    • +1

Water has a best before date?

      • +1

        Carbonated water. Yes

  • +2

would've preferred the glass bottles - I find the plastic bottles are sometimes less carbonated (i.e. flat)

Costco has it on sale for about the same price

    • +1

Me too. The glass bottles seem to deliver a colder, fizzier, fresher taste.

      • +1

True. I managed to get a box of Perrier on sale with the glass bottles - the fizz lasted a few days easily once opened. These plastic bottles taste great when opened but loose their fizz within a day.

Just clicked on it and it said 2 left in stock so grabbed one. Must've been a couple of cancellations, thanks OP.

PET bottled ones taste different to glass bottles. Not a fan
