Coles: Get $5/ $10/ $15/ $30 Cashback When You Spend $50/ $100/ $150/ $200 or More @ CommBank Yello (Activation Required)

920

Free money once again by simply withdrawing the target amount as cash out from an eligible debit card. Service desk or manned checkout lane can do this without requiring any purchase (this might depend on the staff member but I've had no difficulty at multiple stores).

Those without an eligible debit card could instead meet the target amount by purchasing gift cards.

Activation required. Get cashback into your account, typically paid within 14 business days.

You must spend the required amount in one transaction unless stated otherwise.

Cashback offers can only be claimed once unless stated otherwise below.

Offer not eligible at any Coles Express locations. Offer eligible for online and in-store payments. Eligible online orders must be placed and delivered or collected within the offer validity dates. Final transaction value for online orders must meet minimum spend threshold in order to receive the cashback.

(Note: it appears the T&Cs have removed the following words since last time:- "Cannot be used with any other offer. Excludes Voucher codes, gift cards and coupon deals. Offer cannot be refunded, exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.")

Will most likely stack with this, also your last week of 4week offer if you haven’t done it yet for triple stacking 😎

In my previous experience it has stacked with that and the booze codes. Have (ab)used that many times.

    Got $30 for $200 spend

    • That's a great offer. Added to title

Got a measly $5 cashback on $100 spend

    • Me too but I'll happily take it for free

My CommBank Yello never get any good deals like Coles
only got offers for More, Amber, Binge and Village cinemas ….

    • Yello has two different types of benefits: discount codes that will give you a discount on something during the time you buy it (More, Amber, Binge, etc.) and cashback offers, which you have to 'activate' and then buy at full price to get a cashback some time later to your account.

For me, I always got discount codes but never a single cashback offer. I have hence raised a complaint with CBA and they acknowledged that this is a known issue for some users and they are working on fixing it.

If this sounds familiar, you might have to raise a 'complaint' yourself to get this fixed on your account. Before doing that I tried to talk to support at least 4-5 times, but they just kept flogging me off with 'this is outside our control', 'you must be doing something wrong', 'everybody gets different offers', etc.

      • I raise this complaint with CBA on the 3rd of every month…I'm up to 11 of them.

Pls.. pls…pls …everyone bomb them with this complaint this month.

CBA are just hopeless in every facet of banking.

Again, submit a complaint. Easy to do in the app.

      • I only had a CC with CBA. Got no cashback offers. Took out a savings account.
Got a cashback offer. So you will need a debit card.

    $10 off $200 spend

I got the same offer. Rubbish deal tbh. Not much incentive but the high spending requirement. I rather have $5 over $100 spending

It's free money with no spend required if you have an eligible debit card.

Certainly less attractive if you only have a credit card. In that case I'd use it for any types of gift cards where you wouldn't routinely be able to get a 5% discount (including Coles gift cards for example).

    $5 for $100

but also got a Special Gift Card offer for $15 for $150

  • So you can withdraw cash at all staff manned checkouts?

    • Yes. I've only encountered one staff member who didn't know how to do cash out without purchase, but he figured it out in under 10 seconds.

  • There's also offer to spend $100 or more at Special GC and get $10 back.

  • Do you withdraw as debit MasterCard or EFTPOS? I just got to the counter and realised I didn't know which, so I may have screwed up

    • +2

      I don't think it matters.
But I always cash out with Eftpos and get my cashback no probs.

    • +2

      EFTPOS savings (the second option).

If you press debit Mastercard it shouldn't work and force you to start over.

      • Excellent, I'm $10 richer then!

  • $30 for $200 for me. Will visit Coles soon. Thanks OP!

    • Lucky you :)

    • +1

Wow, so lucky. I'm wondering how CommBank determined what value of cashback/spending for each customer. I'm always get the $5 cashback deals. Do you use the card regularly?

      • I almost never shop at Coles. Possibly they track past visits.

  • My commbank yello has been locked since day 1. I have just tried to complete the 30 transactions january to one of my other non-cba account only to realise that I wasnt supposed to do it a non-cba account under myself but just checking if anyone had any luck tried to get cba yello to make an exception etc? i have a lot of accounts (including business) and a mortgage with them but my daily spend is with other credit cards as they provide better points ratio.

    • Don't worry… CBA is totally disfunctional.

They can't even get my home loan account right. M

  • Can you do a withdraw of cash at a self checkout?

    Got $20 for $200 spend :(

might as well go to woolworths for 10% off

    • What do you mean? You know that you're getting $20 for free ?
