Little Golden Books are fairly good for young (1-3 years) readers. On sale at Aldi. Amazon has some titles for $3 or more.
EDIT: I misjudged, this is for 4 years or older. Too many words for toddlers. Thought it would be like Saggy Baggy Elephant which I already own but these are way more verbose.
I’d say the age range is more for 3+. There are a lot of words on each page and quite long to hold the attention for most young toddlers. It’s more appropriate for preschool and kindy kids. I’ve got a bunch for my little ones but we probably won’t be reading them for at least half a year as it’s not yet age appropriate for them
was going to ask if anyone has a toddler that can read at 1 or 2, that would be mighty impressive
heheh well, wasn't suggesting the kid read on their own. Reading to them would be better at that age. I'm getting them for my 3 year old.
Reading books at any age < 7 is mighty impressive.

Yep, just bought 3, but just bc my 3.5-yo has been asking for Xmas books for ages. Not a super deal; Aldi always has books this size for $2. The large ones they have for 99c are better. And also the $4 Disney ones at Big W (on promotion; usually $5).
