    • Worked in Bayswater North (Victoria)

  • I know this is a silly question but I just need to make sure.
Do I need to buy anything else along with it because it says, "Present voucher with every food order".?

    • +1

Nope just bring the voucher and get your 2 dollar whopper.

      • Thanks for that! :)

  • +2

    Can I get a Chicken Whopper… or just beef…?

  • +6

+1 for them including the Vegie Whopper.

  • it is valid, i can see at hungry jack fb left wall

    • Yeah just checked then and it is on their facebook page, it wasnt there before though they mustve just added it. I might get one now that its definitely legit. But its only valid at proper Hungry Jacks stores, the franchise stores dont accept it. How you know if its a franchise or not Im not sure though. Does anyone know how to find out if its a franchise or not?

      • So from reading the posts theyre not accepted at the following stores:

        Knox City, Vic
        Tullamarine, Vic
        St Peters, NSW
        Circular Quay??, NSW

If anyone wants to add anymore maybe add them here

        • Confirmed not working at Rowville, Vic as well… just got given bad service ant told to go the the Knox City, Vic store instead… which sounds pretty dodgy imho

Anyone confirm which Knox City HJ's they went to? since there is one in the shopping centre and one outside as well, may be good to clarify

        • Supposed to be the HJ inside Knox City Shopping Centre that doesnt accept it

        • Works at HJ, Auburn, NSW. Manager was nice too.

  • +3

anyone tried to use this off a phone ? or they will only accept a physical printout ?

    • Worked fine for me showing it on my phone

  • I LIKE!!!!

  • I rang a couple of stores in Brisbane & they know nothing of the deal.
Is there a list of participating stores or an official link?

    • Hungry Jack's Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/HungryJacks

    • i got one at queen st mall HJ. there was a dude next to me in the line with a colour printed coupon.

    • Post Office Square works too, just had the most value-for-money lunch today

  • neil - Many thanks

  • +1

done and tested at HJ North Sydney… even asked for a whopper with cheese.

  • +3

Can confirm Cnr Bourke and Russell in Melbourne CBD accept it :)
    Cheap Lunch!

    • Tried it today, works at Spencer St Melbourne too. No question asked.

  • +2

Just used one then at city cross arcade HJs (adelaide)

I knew my whopper was ready because they yelled out "TWO DOLLAR WHOPPER" when it was ready

I can see some massive weight gain over the next few weeks…easily the best fast-food burger (and no, I don't count Grill'd as 'fast food', and we don't have any in Adelaide anyway).

    • +1

Do you think they make the Whopper for the $2 coupon deal any differently to the normal Whopper? I just think it's a bit suspicious that they called out "TWO DOLLAR WHOPPER" when it was ready? Hmm

      • Means no additional stuff. Was trying to assure his mate I reckon, coz some do add quite a bit (add more more and… minus all of those for me plz).

  • +4

confirmed to work at Jesmond, Newcastle!!!!!! YAYYY!!!!!!!!

    • +4

      It's not true.

    • +5

why u have to buy anything else? I just bought the burger for take away and eating back on my desk in the office
no one force you to buy anything else

      • -5

The coucher says "present voucher with every food order" ;-(

        • where?

      • +5

whooper is not a food? you order whooper = you order food. nothing wrong what the voucher said.

        • +1

Whooper! They should rename the burger to Whooper, it sounds better :P

      • +3

whooper is not a food? you order whooper = you order food. nothing wrong what the voucher said.

    • +1

With a name like fatbelly, you sure you weren't just extra hungry and needed an excuse to buy more? :p

    • comprehension fail >_<

  • +5

if theyre going to be picky about that, just order a soft serve for 50 cents…

  • Man, the manager at Parkmore Shopping Centre's Hungry Jacks is so stupid.
I presented the A4 print out and above states the image location being
    "http://dataport.com.au/hungryjacks/hun0139/coupon.php" ie the coupon page.
Since I presented more than one coupon, so two separate A4 page, she goes, "We can only give you one because the coupon number is the same (hun0139). Well I just drove off lol, went to maccas instead.

tl;dr; The drive thru chick was stupid, asked store manager, store manager was also stupid, who supposedly asked the higher ups above her. So the higher ups are also stupid. fml. All this for a 2bux burger when you can buy two whoppers via coupon (without presenting one) for 5.95, 3 bux ea.. zzz

    • +1

Did you read the coupon? She was right to only give you one, unless you were with two A4 sheets worth of people.

      • -1

An A4 sheet has one print, I presented two A4 sheets with two people in the car.
        Did you read my comment?
She did not understand the fact that the print location was printed on the paper (http://dataport.com.au/hungryjacks/hun0139/coupon.php), mistaking it for the COUPON itself (said they are the same coupon because they have the same NUMBER) however that is the LOCATION on the web where the coupon is downloaded from. Maybe I should have cut it to size for her.

    • +1

The coupon does say "One Whopper per customer, per visit"

  • +2

Confirmed to work at Myaree, WA

  • +1

Confirmed at Mt Lawley, WA. Staff had to show coupon to Manager but she was aware and knew the $2 whopper button on the register. Didn't have to order anything else.

  • nice deal thanks op

  • +4

    hi all,
i rang HJ victoria, and was told by Judie, that about 90% of HJ in australia are owned by them, and the 10% are franchised, so most franchised stores will not accept the coupon (like HJ tullamarine)

better call your nearest HJ store before dashing there, and ask if it's a franchise or not.

    http://www.hungryjacks.com.au/stores#

    cheers.

  • +4

Oh man, I'm going to be a fat bastard after this. I added the fries+coke yesterday for $2.30 extra and it came to $4.30 and it was very very good. So tempted to go back today. Is it bad to get Hungry Jacks everyday!?!?! Hahaha.

    • +1

refill unlimited coke, u don't need the fries

      • +1

Do they have unlimited orange juice? I hate coke! can feel it eating away at my teeth as soon as I drink it..

        • orange juice is not much better, very acidic…

        • nope

  • +18

Knox City (vic) wont honour this coupon, they were extremely rude, claiming its valid at Bondi Beach only - asked where it said that, the story changed, that it wasnt available in vic. Told him of the facebook page etc, he then said they hadnt installed a button for it yet. The manager was like a kid, changing the story each time to see if I'd beleive it more than the previous one. He produced a mobile phone and showed me a screen with someones chat saying "bondi beach only" i couldnt even read it but supposedly it was proof over an official page. I was treated like i was a scam artist and told to go away. I asked for a feedback/complaint form, told no such thing exists, go to the website. Got home contacted them by phone, told a district manager will call me back at an undefined time. (they dont even know what i was complaining about yet) - Its clear HJ dont care about Public relations, or resolving issues like this. They got me into a store for the first time in 4 years only to get this treatment - Mc Donalds on the other hand does everything they can to resolve things. I'm now going to have to tell everyone i printed these out for this is the reception you will get…which kind of defeats the purpose of them having these in the first place…to boost sales? HJ sort this crap out!!!

    • +2

That's a shame it didn't work :'( I hope it is valid in VIC!

    • +2

For sure, make a complaint, as they have even put on their (HJ's) Facebook page that this is live, nothing about not in Vic. Maybe (if you have facebook) place a comment their as well, mention the shitty store's service and how they treated you.

Myself and my workmates are going to have HJ's for lunch today (Brisbane City Queen St Mall) so hoping they honor it or else we are walking and not coming back (considering i haven't been into a HJ's for over 10yrs, this is a big step for me).

      • +2

That's where I got my Whopper today

    • -3

unlucky for you, you just went to the wrong store.

    • +1

It worked at 2 stores in Melbourne CBD yesterday - one at the corner of russell and bourke st, the other one opp RMIT.

    • +2

Don't bother with phonecalls. Report it here: http://www.hungryjacks.com.au/contact-us/feedback . Don't forget to tell us how it goes. If I were PR management, I'd be giving you a year's supply of whoppers.

    • +1

the days over, and i never got the return phone call…I now put them in the same category as telstra…and thats saying something!

Complaint sent via the feedback page and also via facebook page, no response to either but will let you know if there is anything

      • -7

You do realise that not all stores are involved in this promotion. They have not ripped you off, or given you bad customer service or anything like that. Get over it and try another store.

        • +4

Being rude, treating him like a scam artist, and telling him to go away sounds like pretty poor customer service to me. Nothing justifies that kind of behaviour. If they had just kindly told him that they were not participating in the promotion then it would have been alright.

      • +1

Hungry Jack's Hi Alex. That's no good at all, sorry to hear about your HJ's experience. We'd like to make it up to you by shouting you your next Whopper. Email your details to [email protected]

    • mcdonalds gets back to you? Holy crap! They just ignore me!

  • +3

We all got our $2 Whoopers, no questions asked (Queen St Mall, Brisbane City)

    • +1

got mine there yesterday. me knows what I be eating every lunch till 31/1/12

    • LOL I love $2 Whoopers!

    • +3

I like my Whoppers more than Whoopers :)

      • I prefer Whoopers myself !

  • +2

Works in Carindale, QLD. A bit off-topic but their diet coke refills taste like grape Fanta.

  • +3

Work in Mt Ommaney, QLD. But end up walking away cause they only accept 1 voucher while mum and dad miss out cause they won't accept their voucher saying it per visit. We argue a bit saying each customer each visit but the retard staff won't accept it. So we end up at KFC just a few step away.

    • Did you line up separately like you dont know each other? or did you try to order it in one transaction?

      • +2

We went in together and trying to order it together but they denied. So each of us hold 1 voucher each still the same. So we argue for abit when I thought it just a waste of time and went over to KFC. At least serve us as it was 1 per customer per visit, not like we are trying to scam the deal. Just a little disappointed on the deal and never had a rejection using those booklet voucher.

        • Lucky for me I was by myself. I think I was there when you where ordering puchipucca. Sorry but I lol'd during that moment while I was enjoying my $2 whopper ;P

        • -1

"We went in together and trying to order it together but they denied. So each of us hold 1 voucher each still the same."

Didn't work 2nd time cause they already know/seen all of you from the 1st try. Should have lined up 1 at a time while others are waiting in the car or at a corner table obscured from view of the counter so they don't realise you're from the same group.

  • Had it today at Macquarie Centre, good stuff, going to print off the sheet of vouchers now :)

    • macquarie centre hj is dirty and staff are rude, surprised they accepted the voucher

      • The burgers there are always well made though. Some staff, especially the white ones, are quite rude but overall I reckon they are ok. They always accept vouchers because the store managers there tell them to do so.

  • Thanks very much! I got my Whooper yesterday at the Chadstone Food Court HJs. The person said they needed to check my coupon, but they accepted it :D :D I love $2 Whoopers!

  • I was surprise that the whopper is quite big. I tought it would be like a cheesebuger from Maccas which is tiny.

Do they have chicken whoppers, anyone tried with voucher?

    • Burgers at Maccas have always been overpriced. I don't think they have chiken whoppers though. But their Cheesy Bacon Tendercrisp is just beautiful. Give it a go some time.

    • +1

The whoopers are pretty small to me and often assembled in a mess. I dont really eat any fast food but occasionally will get HJ because the burgers still taste far better than any of the other places.

  • This promo has been poorly handled in my opinion.
The original voucher stated 3x $2 whoppers per person.
    Now it's 1x $2 whopper per person.

The terms to take note of are:

"Limit of one $2 Whopper per customer, per visit."
This clearly states per customer. If you have five customers, five vouchers should be acceptable.

"Present voucher with every food order."
Some HJ's are arguing that you need to buy something with it in order to get a $2 whopper.
I believe this statement is simply stating that you must surrender your voucher with your order.

    • "Limit of one $2 Whopper per customer, per visit."
"This clearly states per customer. If you have five customers, five vouchers should be acceptable."

Should order separately though, not as a group….funny I can just picture a group of 100 ppl trying to place an order for 100 burgers in 1 go. $200 lol

"Present voucher with every food order."

Really comes down to how each person perceives the meaning to those words….so it comes down to pure stroke of luck, if you go to a store that doesn't accept the coupon cause of the manager then bad luck I guess.

  • +2

WORKS AT MAROOCHYDORE QLD - Got 2 by myself in the drive though and she didnt even ask for the vouchers!

  • +2

    Sweet!
I had a Veggie whopper the other day & really enjoyed it, glad to see this deal.

  • +1

Didnt work at St Peters, NSW.

  • Now, I'm starving!!

  • hmm had a great one today. they made it fresh and hot, and man they are like 2-3 times the size of a big mac! when I got the bag it was suprisingly heavy.

Went drive through and asked for 2 (one for my passenger) and when got to the window tried to give them one voucher and she studied it for about a minute, and then asked for a second one. what a waste of paper why not just accept the voucher and give 2…

  • +1

Went to North Parra store today with four people and got four burgers, although we pretended not to be related to one another :P

    • +2

Even if they knew you were together they should still serve you as you are still 4 customers

  • +1

confirmed to work at Hungry Jack's West Terrace, Adelaide as well. Wasn't really expecting it to be accepted cause the store is at a petrol station but it did, so yay.

  • +6

@GoldPhoenix0 The HJ outside Knox City shopping centre accepts these coupons ie the one in Knox Ozone. So whats the go with the store inside Knox City? Isn't that one company owned?

Should go there at lunch times with heaps of $2 coupons and hand them out to the people in line, telling them it's only valid at Knox Ozone HJ. That will piss off the owner and teach him a good lesson.

  • +2

Great… just got one for me and my friend today. Only $4 + $2 for a small softdrink with free unlimited refills… Gottta love HJ's

  • +3

This is a great deal, I reccommend you take the opportunity to get your @$$ down to HJ and get s $2 whopper! You can walk out and walk back in and get ANOTHER ONE! Repeat for infinite whoppers.

  • +4
